So it has finally come down to four. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Round three brought forth seven actual poems with just one forfeit, which we knew was going to happen anyway. After all, how can you possibly improve upon the concise lyrical perfection that is "Merry Christmas, HO HO Rabbit"? Surely it is a poem that will live in 'UPA lore. Snagglepuss wrote an amazing (as well as topical) piece, Scourge put out a mesmerizing amount of effort, and Shadow's as well as the three non-advancing pieces were in my opinion all very good.
Of course, I don't know anything about poetry, so my opinion is fairly worthless. I mean, c'mon; my poem was about a cable TV show, for Christ's sake.
So who does know something about poetry? Well, obviously you, the reviewer! So make sure to read, rate, and review these four fine competitors to decide the final match of The THird Ubersite Poetry ExtrAvaganza!
Deadline for this round is 1/11 at 11:59 PM ET, scoring ends 1/13 at 11:59 PM ET.

i'm going to have to demand that everyone whose rating on my entry was less than a +2 have their ratings disallowed.
they were OBVIOUSLY cheating and this fine contest should not be sullied in such a manner.
if you do not meet my very reasonable demands, i'm going to have to slander your name and spam your account with -2s.
it's what jesus would want.

i see where you're going with that beeltea, and i like your way of thinking! you -2 shadow and snagglepuss with little_sally and beeltea, and i'll do the same with scourge and flakmonkey, virtually assuring victory for us.
work some jetskis, cocaine, and handguns in there somewhere and what you have here is a simply marvelous plan!`
good thing nobody but you and i can see this review.

I see another epic THUPA-topical poem about Shlongy, cheating, and possibly Scourge coming in the near future...

well, i see a shadow-snagglepuss final but a scourge-sally match-up would be funnier

it is rigged, shlongy!
the organizer has been trying to cheat me out of victory since round one, just like they did to shlongy in the first two iterations of this contest.
my raw talent, and perseverance, and cheating, and forfeits by two of my opponents, has seen me through so far, but some helpful cheating from shlongy could see me to victory.

Huh.
Of all of the competitions I have ever entered, this is by FAR the one I have taken least seriously. And yet, it seems Fate would like me to continue; therefore I must!
The next entry shall be a great piece, a beautiful piece; bards will sings songs of it, and its tale shall be told in the halls of kings!
---
That is a good attitude. You are going to need it to defeat the mighty scourge, who almost tried last round.
---
almost tried? that piece was fantastic and i spent hours getting it just right.
listen... it's not my fault you can't see my greatness when everyone else obviously can. you scoffed at my round one effort though it was EASILY the best thing posted in that round. my round two bit you zero rated like twelve times just to be mean. and then you didn't even read or rate my magnificent round three piece and yet have the balls to talk shit about it.?!;:'"{}[],<>/
it's obvious what's going on here but it's not going to work. when this contest is over, i will take home the new chevy tahoe and the all expenses paid hawaiian vacation.

Conveniently I don't rate anything now.
Not even mine opponent's, to whom I should hast bestowed a most mighty -2 to secure myself a Semifinal Honalee.

What Muddy said, except replace work with rarely-on-my-phone, and even more rarely from home. I can't be arsed to dump my time/effort into Uber like I used to.
Snagglepussy's entry was far better than mine, anyway. I predict he/she will take the title for THUPA.

"pudding chicken danger_ranger" was left in my Google search window from earlier today. I just saw it. Made me smile. There's a perfectly reasonable explanation for why I would be searching on this particular combination of words, but I'm not going to tell you what it is. I didn't say it was interesting, anyway, just reasonable. "pudding chicken danger_ranger" is a catchy phrase, though. I'm going to bed.

i think 'mesmerizing' is an adjective that can be applied to many of the things that make up the me.
i am fabulous.
i am, however, sorely disappointed in my continued non-compliance with my own 'always forfeit' rule. i guess i'm such a rebel that i even rebel against being a rebel. amazing. that probably makes tons of you want to do me.
you know, with your genitals.
if i make it past shadow, which i will if i post because c'mon, i'm ME (no offense to shadow, who i happen to think is an exceedingly lovely person. probably vivacious. are you vivacious, shadow? probably.), whoever i face in the final can post a picture of their nuts and win because i absolutely refuse to see this through to the end.
this review said 'probably' an awful lot lot.
that's one of those words that can carry a lot of weight in a lot of different directions. for one, it indicates a severe lack of planning, investigation etc and so on and so forth.
and that's okay, because plans are for people who know everything.
i like to happen to the universe and let the universe happen to me.
it's worked out pretty well so far.
