I'd been here forever, slaving away as a runner/personal assistant for Michael Keaves, the lead anchor for Fox News's prime time editorial hour. 4 years, getting the coffee, doing the research, coordinating his schedules..
I was tired. Bone weary, muscle quiveringly tired. Seven weeks on assignment, gathering information on the Israeli/Gaza conflict that Mr. Keaves would never do on his own. It was I who flew 21 hours to Jerusalem to be face to face with the Gazan freedom fighters. I drove an old GAZ truck to the border and interviewed the Israeli Defense Force commander that was leading this particular operation. I have been on the scene for five different conflicts, but have never begrudged him the money, the fame, the glory.
Mr. Keaves was sitting in his dressing room, daubing off the makeup from his latest show.. the one where he ran my words on Gaza as his. He could be so handsome when he wasn't being an oppressive and insecure little boy. Swarthy, tanned skin over a well built frame. White teeth and green eyes, and a full head of dark chocolate hair, marred only by very distinguished traces of silver at the temples.. I could feel his eyes tracing across my body, up my legs and to my chest as I tried to read him my notes on a possible story.
It was obvious he wasn't paying attention to what I was saying..
"If it's true that Senator Kiplinger has been meeting with the head of the UAW, he might not be as conservative as we.."
I froze. His hand rested lightly on the back of my neck. All of my senses were tingling as he pulled me closer.
"Sir? What exactly are you.."
"Shh"
The inexorable pressure on my neck forced my head down. My eyes closed as I felt my lips touch soft cotton. My entire body went rigid as the pressure somehow.. inexplicably, increased. My head was now forced into his lap and I could feel the heat radiating off him.
"Sherri.. You know I want you. Just suck it.. I know you want me too.."
I tensed, prepared to scream.. tried to draw in a deep breath, but his other hand had met the first around my throat, closing it off.
"Don't even think of it, you cock teasing whore.. Open your fucking mouth. If you scream, I'll break your god damned neck."
No choice.. my vision was turning red, getting fuzzy at the edges.. My mouth opened, a gasp for air that he quickly choked off by thrusting into my mouth.. How the fuck did he get his cock out? Son of a bitch, was this really happening to me?
My hands scrabbled for purchase as he used me, holding me by the throat. I felt my notebook at my fingertips, and my hand closed around a cool, smooth shaft of metal.
I'll never forget the sound of his screams as I gouged his eyes out with the gold ink pen he gave me for Christmas..
"Your face isn't broadcast quality now, Is it you son of a bitch?"
