For years it was the internal human spirit of war that was thought to be the seed of our own destruction. We fought each other, suffered massive causalities and moved on with life. Nature itself stayed relativity the same, while man tried desperately to regain consciousness. But now, after the invention of the mega-powerful atom bomb, everything has changed. We can not only kill ourselves, but bring down pretty much every other species with us if we want too. We can not only change entire ecosystems, but destroy them as well. It is not only an awesome tool of war, but also a messenger of destruction. Devastation is the only outcome of its use. Without, a nation is powerless. With it, a nation is not only a world power, but also a threat. We cannot be without it, for our enemies would no doubt spot this weakness. But can we trust ourselves with it? Throughout the world today, millions protest against the presence of such powerful weapons. But isn't it odd, the only real time we've really used it is one of the first times we even had it available. Maybe we didn't realize the outcome, not just of destruction, but of the impact it would have on the future. Even today, the success of the two bombs detonating impact our lives constantly. What if we hadn't thought of using then, if Japan surrendered early? Would the threat of the nuclear bomb be used over and over again until one side finally went for it? It is not know what the consequences would have been, but whatever they might have been, the current threat of a nuclear attack remains clear. Now it not only about two warring sides; now, terrorist organizations can easily obtain the directions for making such a device, but the question is can they get the materials? Is it possible that Iran, in order to fulfill their quest to destroy America, would secretly give such materials, like uranium, to underground terrorist networks, like al qaeda, and have them attack and take the blame, unless of a whole war with Iran? Nevertheless, there are thousands of possibilities; we can only hope that mankind can survive long enough to find some sort of hope, some sort of way to end the need for devastation, or quite simply war altogether, so as to which we can all live in peace and harmony. However, based on current events, it doesn't look like that will be anytime soon.

Good God in heaven. Every now and again I try to come back to this site and post something of substance or quality. I make at least a half-assed attempt to do something to contribute.
And, as shite as the majority might have been a few years back, it is nothing compared to the bullshit that keeps getting thrown up, pimped around and pissed about nowadays. Why even bother when anything that's any good just gets dilluted amoungst all the other bullshit like this?
Because I'm awesome, that's why I bother.
