People who dance using fingers pointed: Knock it the fuck off! It may have been popular in the 50's to nonchalantly point at nothing and waggle your finger back and forth but not any more. You should be dragged by the larynx out of whatever venue you are at and beaten with an alligator cock. Whether it's on tv, at a concert, at a bar/club, wedding, wherever...it's never fucking appropriate. Unless you are sporting a beehive and plan to do the equally stupid hold-your-nose-and-pretend-you-are-going-under-water dance or the mash or twist then stop! Pointing your finger and dancing is a no no. It's taboo, and makes you look stupid.
American Idol: I never watched a single episode of your show until this season and not by choice, mind you. The roommate had it on and I was too lazy to go to the other room and I was ebaying but I sat there in a trance. I was not in a trance because of the talent mind you, but because you have hit the epiphany of what Americans like. Paula Abdul. Well, not really her, but the train wreck that is inevitable. Her wheels are going to fall off and it's so perfectly clear that I couldn't help but watch her stand up and cheer while a performance was going only to watch her get crackly voiced and emotional to the point where it appeared she was going to cry. Please do us all a favor Paula, and take the appropriate amount of pills that makes sure you are medicated for an entire show. The first 10 minutes she was a-ok but then the pill head started having an emotional roller coaster that made me want to watch for when she took her clothes off and did a dry dive on stage. This woman is certified loony. Awesome!
On a side, I don't like that being a giant fag earns you points on that show. I think I'll go back to not giving a fuck and wait for the youtube of Ms. Abdul swinging from the light rack and crying simultaneously.
East Bound and Down: You are the best program on any tv network right now. If you haven't had the chance to enjoy the creative juices of Danny McBride I suggest you tune into HBO's newest series and have yourself of glass of the deliciousness. You have seen Danny McBride in Foot Fist Way, Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, Hot Rod, and a few other select films. Other creative influence and cameos come from Will Ferrell. This show dominates. It's fucking hilarious and somehow gets you over your initial thought that McBride's character is an asshole, allowing you to appreciate his predicament and even on occasion feel sorry for him. Even if you aren't a big fan of TV (I admit, I watch mostly only sports, Lost, and this show, Eastbound and Down regularly) you should tune in for this. I believe it comes on Sunday, 10:30PM. Kanye is a great record producer whose tracks are consistently the best in the genre. However, his MC skills (or lack thereof) are completely wack. The hallmark of a Kanye West song: incredible beat combined with retarded 2nd-grader lyrics.
Also, as if it needs to be said, he's an arrogant mental case whose idea of "fashion" is venetian-blind sunglasses, Cosby sweaters, and "ironic" black guy mullet haircuts. No thanks.
PS - "808's and Heartbreaks" was one of the best albums of 2008

you really can't just jump in and start watching whenever. if you don't start from the beginning, you'll just be saying "what the fuck is going on? this is stupid!" the entire time. it won't make sense to you.
you would basically need a good month of nothing to do to start from the beginning. i'd just forget about ever watching it if i were you.
the funny thing is everyone thought it was just a dumb show about people stranded on an island but it's actually science fiction and we're just now getting into the science fiction part in the 4th season.

Saccy, I somewhat agree with you but I like the raunchy humor just as much as the next guy and I somehow find myself laughing throughout this show. I usually really like HBO original programming but I've watched a couple episodes and I don't think it's that funny. I'm all for being politically incorrect and cursing like a sailor, but so far it's all gratuitous and hacked and nothing I haven't seen before.
