The ending was a piece of shit. Ron Moore built up all these plot arcs and didn't know how to finish them. He didn't know how to wrap it up, so he decides "lol god did it" to explain everything.

I don't know, Indo. There were definitely fewer battle scenes in the later seasons, and that was one of the things that drew me to the show, but I didn't mind the more cerebral episodes. I think that the slower arcs could drag at times, then try to cram everything in at the last second, but the overall quality of the show was still very high.
