What's a Soviet take-home?

It's an exam, usually in essay format, and about 3000 words, that you complete at home and hand in about a week later. They're usually marked way more brutally than the rote memorization/regurgitate onto paper method that you can do in the auditorium because you have more than 3 hours.
The class was Russian and the Soviet Union from Alexander II to Gorbachev

i just came back to this window and found the rating set to plus two and "i" entereed in the comment section. I have no idea what this post is or what I might have said about it and rather than ruin the mystery and go back to find out I will leave you with these parting thoughts.
I absolutely cannot stand people who camp in the fucking passing lane intentionally driving the same speed as the douchenozzel in the lane next to them. I would be momentarily interested in knowing why they do such a thing but it would be a brief moment as having the opportunity to ask something like that in person would also afford the opportunity to inflict physical harm as well.
