I have no idea why I like some of the crap I like. I guess it's because it's so far removed from the majority of the stuff I like. It's nice to switch it up every now and then. I know the Pirates trilogy is kind of a fan-favorite...but let's get down to brass tacks. They are so ridiculously cheesy and lame. After watching any one from the series, I want to jump through the screen and break Orlando Bloom's neck. He's such a one-dimensional actor and it really pisses me off, yet I still watch those movies whenever they are on. And aside from the cheesiness, it annoys the everliving fuck out of me that skulls and crossbones are the new hip thing, and everyone loves pirates now. Fucking Johnny Depp...thanks a lot! I literally have been obsessed with real pirates for as long as I can remember. Now I feel ashamed to let anyone know that for fear of people thinking I've jumped on the bandwagon. I like it a lot better when everyone hates the stuff that I like...like my Zune.
Fuck ipods.

Hey man, you're right. Still, there are lame guilty pleasures, like having a mancrush on Johnny Depp, and then there are real guilty pleasures.
Real guilty pleasures include things like buggering the neighbor's dog, swapping grammy's meds for hallucinogens, and saving the foreskins you've shed, the way a snake sheds its skin, after an entire weekend of non-stop sex with your girlfriend.
Not that I do any of that but if I did, I use Astroglide because it's better than KY, I sub in microdot or windowpane, not ecstasy, because like almost everything else Gen Y does, ecstasy is lame, and I'd save the foreskins by date, not size or alphabetically by the girls last name.

and i know what you mean about the badwagon thing. when i was 5 and my kindergarten teacher asked me what i wanted to be when i grew up my immediate answer was 'pirate'... now i can barely stand to fly the jolly roger in my front yard.

Hey, man. Everyone's guilty pleasures are different. I highly enjoy all of those bands/TV shows/movies. I highly enjoy them, yet hate nearly every other band/show/movie of the same genre, which is the weird part (except for the Pixar movies...I love them all for some reason). I was hoping to inspire others to expand upon this concept and talk about their own guilty pleasures...get some discussion going!
I'm glad you guys enjoyed the cartoon, though! I thought it was pretty hilarious myself.
And yes. I watch the L word for the lesbian action. I must admit, though, I am attached to some of the characters to the point where I'm glued to the screen when they are doing something.
The Bad Girls Club is a show on Oxygen channel about girls who are bad, living in the same house together and the goal is to not be such horrible bitches anymore. But, obviously, people clash, tempers flare, and C-bombs are dropped left and right. It's pretty awesome.

The L Word really isn't worth watching at all. The plots are lazy and all the lesbo teasing can be retrieved in the blink of an eye from youporn. Before the internet that show would've been watched more than the Superbowl though.
