My babysitter was doing some coursework here a few weeks back whilst sitting the kids stuff like 'thru' and missing out the 'g' on the end of 'ing' and certain vowels in words was pretty much everywhere.
Plus I have a friend who teaches and they reckon the problem of kids not spelling correctly is so wide spread in several decades it will have changed the english language as we know it.
