(To be fair, I myself have only recently discovered this previously undisclosed fact, which was previously undisclosed to me and therefore new - to me - and undisclosed)
Barca, the current Champions League title holders and a team I've only admittedly ever admired from afar but moreso recently given their penchant for playing three men up front and a clynical, continental approach to football and not a......say, razzamatazz end-to-end game like, I don't know - english teams - pay Unicef a squillionty for said aid agency to affiliate their name with Barcelona's brand. The Romario/Stoichov era was better than most soap operas but I was never an oh liek omg, how are Barca going to weather the espaneol local derby storm this weekend.
But.
Paying your sponsor is a fucking anomaly. Paying an aid agency, well that's hardcore in fact maybe it's even hardcore PR, but it flies in the face of every other sporting franchise on the planet - even in america Bubba you stupid old nanna, and it also makes you think. Their super gay aids champions league opponent is the antithesis of this, and the Catalans who quite frankly were kind of lucky to be in the final anyway when they won the Champions League this morning over their lesser, weak-willed and money flawed english opposition, made everything right in our unbalanced, teetering on the brink of unfairness world, and AIG - americans no less, will be wondering how the fuck they can get Barcelona (the current European Champions who defeated also-ran english opposition), to pay THEM millions of dollars and not the other way 'round - like they do with man u.
Fat spaniard indeed choooseday, but that *was* funny. What's even funnier is when you're drumming your fingers on your beer belly, and contemplating how man u must feel right now? Just imagine that idiot portugese sucking his cheeks in like he'd just ate too much grapefruit at the man u aig sponsored we're about to win the champions league pre-match breakfast. Or even funnier imagine him missing an early chance and thinking as he sucked his cheeks in that it actually made him LOOK good and that it would only be a matter of time before he delivered his team some razzamatazz glory, as long as E'eto and some halfling from Argentina didn't spoil his dillusion because his lauded defence didn't show up, and that he was crap at putting it in the onion bag.
For more laffs consider newcastle and how stupidly inept the goal poacher alan shearer looked in his technically deficient box.
btw liverpool are shit I know this because when I spanked Argentina 6-2 in a friendly in fifa '09 recently tevez wasn't even on the bench. We were like 4-2 up and I thought those stupid cunts should bring on tevez but they couldn't because HE WASN'T GOOD EN0UGH TO MAKE THE SQUAD.
