While your prose has never been my cup of tea (nothing personal, I just like more detail and intricate plots and the like... and I'm sure there are those who'd say the same of what I've written), I tip my hat to you for what you have done and are trying to do. You're doing what a lot of folks would sit around just thinking about doing.

Who did cover design for the first one? Were they blind? Sentient? Did they understand the concept of massive fucking graphics on the interwebz combined? How about trying to put extremely busy colors behind text? How will I ever know what this is about if the cover gets me so blindly enraged that I want to turn the "designer" (spell that college brat with a copy of FrontPage 2000) into paté?

Do people actually buy intangible e-zines or is it just the circle of people who write in them that buy it and can actually say that they're paid authors? This just reeks of amateurism and desperation so much that I don't even know where to begin. Also, why would you put a link up that has your real name in it when you know the stupidity that people exude here? I won't, and never will, buy an e-zine. Seems like such a crappy rip off....

no. but it is an actual start. you use that as reference material to apply for writing gigs where you do get paid. its basically self-interning.
flash fiction is for writing classes and teachers, though. you should ditch it.
