I am now officially finished with my second bachelor's degree. (Business Admin Spec. Operations Management, and Economics) I have also finished my CPCU designation. I am beating down the door of HR for a raise and my requests are falling on deaf ears.
So I now come you Uber. What should I do? It seems like my company is bitter about having to pay me a $10k bonus for completing the CPCU and they are in no mood to give me a raise. I know that I can make alot more money than I am now at another company, but I am fiercely loyal to this company.
Do you guys think that more money is worth starting over at a new company?
A bit of background.
I am 23 years old.
I make $86,000 a year.
I have been with this company for 4 years.
I can move anywhere in the country.
P.S. If you have nothing of substance to add to this post, kindly leave your -2 and fuck off.

You should stop kidding yourself, lying on the internet, and learn to type an understandable title.

Wow!
You must have a 12lb cock!
Also,
Loyalty is for people, not entities that could care less if you were born.

Sorry, Frog, loyalty must be an American idea.

Not contract-working francophone fags, that's for sure.

If you do not think the compensation and benefits they provide to you are worth the value you provide for the company, you should go elsewhere to seek employment.
--------------------
I was asking from the perspective of opportunity cost of staying at this company. I make enough money now. I am not unhappy per se, but I know that there are other positions open to me that will pay more.

Salary is not the be all end all of employment. Balance what you could be making and what that additional money can improve in your life relative to the resulting loss of job satisfaction in a different company. If you are in a ocmpany where you are truly happy and enjoy your job, you may find on introspection that an additional $10,000 a year wouldn't alter your level of personal satisfaction in life sufficiently to make up for the corresponding lapse in work satisfaction, given that work life often takes up 50% + of your waking hours.

If you, at 23, make enough money to be happy, are completely loyal to your company and like your job in general, why go chasing more? Simply because you can? What if that switch to a new company with a higher salary means working for/with the biggest scumbags on Earth thus proving that the grass isnt always greener? Why not put in a little more time and see what happens at the 5 year mark?
*Note* At 26 with no degree, I would KILL to make 86K a year.

You should stop kidding yourself, lying on the internet, and learn to type an understandabale title.

And the person who posted this should learn how to read....

So true, so true. "understandabale" wtf? Doesn't change the thought, though.
