matt hale isn't really a religious leader, he's just a neo-nazi. they decided to brand their little gang as a church, judge ran interference, name change, blah blah blah.
i've met the guy, actually.
when i was in high school, i was friends with some kids who later on turned into little nazi skinheads. before they turned fucking nutso, we went to see a show in peoria. some of the guys who later helped them to make the 'leap of faith' into the white power movement introduced them, and me, to hale. my friends thought he was just the greatest thing. me? i went on watching the bands.
he's one of those interesting people who, if they weren't ratshit crazy headcases with some one single deranged hate focus that drove every single fucking thing they do, would be considered pretty intelligent. decently persuasive speaker, from the point of view of some 16 - 18 year old kids who have no real direction in life. not to me, because i already knew i was the smartest fucking human alive with all the answers to life neatly stowed away in my brain.
i didn't stay friends with those guys much longer after the whole 'let's do away with the brown people' thing came about in their lives, because, well i like brown people as well as anyone else.
a few years after that some of them even wanted to beat me up on a pretty regular basis, and i'm not even a brown person!
great story, self. we love you.

Well done. I have seen most of these wolves in sheeps clothing before. Including Manson does seem odd. Organised religion is often evil and it holds no allure for me.
However, you say that this is all we have and there is nothing after we die. I must respectfully disagree. I am a flatliner. Part of us goes on...
