Last weekend I was playing football with some friends and I landed on a loose ball awkwardly and hurt my ribs.
The next day the pain was still there, but I just figured it as just soreness. The pain continued throughout this past week until finally I went to the hospital to get an x-ray done. I was starting to get concerned about a fracture or a break and that bone fragments might be getting stuck in my lung or something. Probably paranoia, but the pain wasn't subsiding and so I figured a professional opinion couldn't hurt.
The good news is there was nothing wrong with my ribs.
The bad news is that in the x-ray they spotted a large rounded mass with numerous calcifications measuring approximately 3 inches in diameter that abuts the right heart border and the anterior pleura.
The Kid who knows everything didn't see this coming.
Thunderlips retired his signature atomic leg drop maneuver.
Earl Scruggs played a mournful ballad.
The BOSH man extinguished his cigarette and frowned with disapproval.
I haven't told anyone about it, and I don't plan to until the biopsy results come back next week. It could be a pulmonary hamartoma(benign) or it could be ..you know.. malignant.
Interesting.
Don't bother rating, just wanted to tell someone.
