Well, yes, in real life I imagine she's quite posh, but in the show she dated a black guy and lived in a run-down apartment with her overweight, dyed-blonde cockney-accent mother. This, by our standards, would indicate white trash.

I do not know what diet show you mean but Rose from Doctor Who is very posh in real life, maybe her constant roots make her look trashy I don't know.
Chavs around my neck of the woods tend to be lower class, live on a council estate and are on welfare which makes me wonder how they can afford all the designer clothes and branded sportswear. The men are nearly always skinny, in a toned way, with crap tattoos and shaved heads, usually walk down the street drinking cans of cheap larger in the summer.
The women have the latest fashionable hair do, only it always, like the designer clothes, looks cheap, like black hair but with a bleached fringe (bangs). They usually have tattoos of their many kids on their arms or ankles, and wear excessive amounts of large gold hooped earrings and chains.
They always have children called Kyle and Chantelle and always have a pet staffordshire bull terrier called Buster.
Irish travellers are the same but with more gold and more chance to stab you in the face if you cross one.
In case you were wondering, I fit into neither catagory I am middle class gone wrong ie I went greebo to shock my parents smoked too much weed had kids young and now live off their father spouting my left wing views from the comfort of surburbia.

Both also feign incomprehensibility when approached, though I find that a howdah clapped to the temple improves their eloquence considerably. I've reccomended this approach to several local schools.

Really? I always thought chavs were more like wiggers. Wiggers are not nescessarily white trash by our standards; though Simon would be considered a sort of hybrid.
White trash, by our standards, listen to country, have loads of meaningless tattoos, smoke reds, wear Walmart clothes, and generally emulate a southern drawl. The men often have douchie facial hair, while the women bleach their hair.
Wiggers, by contrast, listen to rap, wear loose-fitting clothing and loads of ugly jewelry, and generally emulate studio gangsters in every way possible. The male and female of the species are difficult to differentiate, though postmortem examination, prior to a nice marinade, is my generally preferred method.
Both excude an air of cultivated and willful ignorance, and shun anything resembling higher culture, and both would generally be considered the more useless form of peasant. Both also like to carry, and brag about, weaponry, though their 9mm's are fairly weak even in comparison with the blunderbuss or fowling piece of the 18th century.
By our standards, the blonde chick from the new Doctor Who series would be considered white trash, as are about half the fat, poor people in that diet show with the short Scottish chick.

Haha when it gets hot round here all the skinny chavs and travellers walk around with no t shirt but I have to say most of them are lithe, toned teens and young men with dirty jeans and shaved heads never fatties.
Guess we have it easier.

It isn't so much Walmart itself, you can see this kind of stuff anywhere. You just tend to see more of it at Walmart. They could call the site 'the decline of taste and modesty' and would be the same thing.
