Once, when I was a child, I went looking for my birthday presents. I accidentally wound up in my grandmother's lingerie drawer. This was just as creepy.

Berty was missing the 'equis', for the extinct side of the familytree, of which i am member since i'm dead. The cousins living in the land above are the 'equus', i got educated a little today.
I liked that detail, Ryland....But i would have loved to read your post, since they are so much better than anything i could write. I deserved to be kicked outoff the comp by now...

I don't know, something about this piece really speaks to me my equine brother, and for that we should all salute you. These people, the self-proclaimed 'judges' to this competition, they just aint getting it man, don't see the beautiful juxtaposition between childish innocence and total destruction portrayed in this image. They don't see the allegory for contemporary man hiding behind the surface - the true depiction of the puppets we've become, standing in our childish softly-padded playland, watching from a distance with glee at the pretty lights caused by our unnamed masters. We stand together on our tiny knoll and feel united by what we see, ignoring the death of innocence it represents. But if we really thought about things, we'd realise that innocence doesn't exist anymore. Perhaps it never did.
I ask you my siblings... what could be scarier than this?
