I hate it when people bitch about posters that give their own post +2's. That's bullshit. It's their own fucking work. Wouldn't it make sense that if anyone should give them a good rating it would be themself? Where does this hatred of people who take pride in their own work come from and why are some people so anal about ratings anyway?

Most users on this site understand how very little the ratings mean.
Give yourself a plus two if you like. It won't change the fact that this and other posts still suck.

Or if the percentages were tallied up without being displayed on each review, it would stop a lot of the bickering.

I agree. If I write something that is meant to get ratings I am going to give it a plus 2. If I post a question or something that I am not expecting ratings, I don't keep up with it.
