I glide through the city, the traffic buzzing. The cars, buses, and people set in their own personal invisible lines. The lines intersect, parallel, divide. Everyone has a talent, mine is unclear, yet very useful. Walking through the crowded streets, looking through my dark glasses I read the anonymous faces for the stories that are scribbled upon them.
"I could give a straight up god damn,
I could give you four or five of them,
Got a thousand in my bank account.
Break it open let the god damn's walk out."
She is illusive, more so now since I have driven her away.
At night, in the cover of darkness, under the rambling mix of bass lines and cocktail chatter, the club itself is intoxicating. I am known here. I slip through, touching everyone, although making contact with no one. They know my face, yet cannot produce a name. The smiles and nods flow freely.
" all my traumas hinge upon
some convoluted axiom
of the cube of x plus y
equals itself divided by now
where have you gone?
She is here, although I wouldn't know it. I have yet to see her face, but once I see it I will know. The bodies twist and contort to the music. I can feel it start, slowly at first, but gaining momentum. The music turns from something that is heard to feeling, a mood, an almost physical thing. My heart begins to speed up, the light show that was subtle before is painfully distracting now.
"all my limbs are sticks and lines
my head's a point upon my spine, i can't
get no quadrilateral
i can't say half empty or half full now
I feel my blood rise and fall with records the DJ spins, as if they were the moon and I was the sea. The bodies on the dance floor, now all blend together. My eyes can no longer adjust fast enough to the stimulus, and close so slightly. My arms and legs sway in no pattern. I have broken the invisible line that pulls me for the moment, although I know it is waiting for me outside.

Disjointed rubbish. Sorry to be so blunt, but I had to strain to read this...only to find it was barely worth 10% of the effort it took. -2.

For poorly attempted mathematical poetry. For reference, watch "Pi."
