Oh yes, I am talking about the dreaded pop-up advertisments. It seems everytime you close one out, 10 more pop right back up. Kazaa is notorious for this, especially with thier "Free female condoms" and "Free laser light" ads. I would like to meet this asshole of a man who created these damn things so I could kick his ass Okie style. After beating him into a massive, bloody pulp, I will sic a gang-banging group of transvestite midgets on him and laugh while he is being raped up his fat, geeky, pimply ass. My computer is a piece of shit. Therefore It cannot handle bullshit such as popups without locking up. Porn-site surfers know exactly what I'm talking about. exactly, 57 and a half (The half being the pop up that never fully loads before your computer locks up) and you've only been on the site for 4 minutes... Not even long enough to get your jollies off. It's a constant never ending struggle to be fast enough to destroy those annoying little bastards. My index finger is sore and my eyes are going crossed from trying to hit all the little 'x's.
I'm going out to find the demonic bastard who created the pop up(and later the asshole who created SPAM). Let me know if you want me to punch him/kick him/cut off his balls and strangle him with them/all of the above for you, let me know because I will find him....

Ive seen mozzila take a while to load on alot of comps but it could have something to do with that linux build. It takes a bit longer than opera or IE does on my pc though.

"you don't have to reload the whole page (as IE requires)"
You can't go back/forward without the page reloading? The only web browser I've used that I can remember doing that was PlanetWeb's Dreamcast browser (arguably worse than IE).

hahahaha
i like that so much!! It's funny because it's true. Your on vinegar strokes and the shot of a naughty blonde being hammered by 15 black fellas is destroyed by a pop ad for dentures!! hahaha been there so many times...errr

Opera is actually not very buggy at all anymore. and when it does crash, the next time you open it you can choose to start with the same sites open.
theyve completely fixed the freezing problem with Flash animations, as far as I can tell.
and its WAY more efficent/faster than any other browser i know of. you can go back / go forward / reload / close windows / switch windows without moving the mouse more than a centimeter, if at all. and you don't have to reload the whole page (as IE requires), so it goes instantly.
i uninstalled IE the last time opera was updated.

People who promote spam are all short, ugly, clown, midgets who eat boogers. They should be tossed into a bottomless pit and spit upon while they fall. Then again, that punshiment isn't nearly harsh enough.

korthrun: Do you have a slow computer? I'm using a laptop with a Pentium II and Mozilla doesn't take long at all to launch. Perhaps it's the OS, or the Linux version of the browser.

Opera is way problematic but is nice if you don't like to wait 50 years for mozzila to start up.
If you want absolutley 0 pop-ups lookinto a web browser called lynx.

Illicit_Joe: Perhaps, on Windows. I haven't used the Windows version in a couple of years. In Linux, it's definitely awesome.
You can easily disable pop-up ads, for one thing.
You can also easily enlarge/shrink text by pressing CTRL and + or CTRL and -.
You can right-click on an image and choose to block all images from the website you're on (which can be useful in some instances).
You can choose to show only one frame of a webpage. If one frame has only ads, just choose to hide it.
You can open new tabs; in each you can load a different webpage, so everything is in one window.
You can install new themes (I like the "Modern" theme that comes with it).
The browser is updated every day on their website. It might automatically update itself; I'm not sure. It may be the up2date RPM doing that, but I do know that a small glitch which prevented me from saving files from a webpage was quickly fixed.
There's a lot more. Check this out:

Anyway, I don't know how the Windows version compares, but I would choose Lynx over Internet Explorer. I had too many problems with IE and Windows (98) in general, perhaps with the way it's intergrated into the OS, making it difficult to uninstall. I like Mozilla.
