i did get a kick out of watching zimmer roll like that though, almost as funny as when
tommy lasorda rolled backwards when he was hit with a bat at the 2002 all-star game
if you are a redsox fan and you really think you guys are going to win you have serious
issues, seriously.
i would like to play the cubs, i think the marlins are like last years angels..too hot

2 things-
1. Don Zimmer is 72 years old, (as the tv announcers told us annoyingly over and over again for the duration of the replays, and then again on Sportscenter). He should really try to remember that in the future. What the announcers and Sportscenter didn't harp on were 2 little facts- First off, he came after Pedro, not the other way around. He also took a swing at Pedro before Pedro did anything to him. Secondly, all he did was throw Zim to the ground. Ok, that was a little rough of him, but Pedro could have easily blasted him a good one and really done some damage. I say Martinez really showed remarkable restraint. It's a great thing that Zimmer still has such passion for the game, and that's why he is such a great coasch, but maybe it's time to leave the bench-clearing for the guys who are still under retirement age, Don.
2.- I hope the Cubs or Red Sox win the Series this year. I don't care which team, as long as one of them gets rid of their "curse" so we don't have to hear about it for the next 95 or 108 years.
I am from NY but I am not a Yankees fan. (Which really has nothing to do with it, except to point out that not everyone from NYS is a foaming at the mouth Yankees fan, from "the" city. Like there is one city in the whole state. I am from New York *STATE* not New York *CITY*. As a matter of fact I live about 4 hours drive up the Thruway from NYC. Where there are trees. And mountains. There is more to New York than just the cities.

I am a die hard red sox fan and will be going to Tuesday's game to watch D-Lowe get the Sox the redemption that they deserve. This "poem" is shit. Actually it seems like something a Sox fan would write. I am not a Yankee basher. I don't chant Yankees suck and I don't have a queer T shirt that says Jeter swallows. I love the RED SOX. And most sox fans want to hate the Yanks more than they love the sox. It's sad really. They yankee's do not in fact "suck" that's why they make it to the series all the time and beat us to get there. Their club is good, so what can you do? But not this year... there's something in the air this year... I smell a series of destiny. It's the cubbies and my sox for all the chocolate pudding. What if it really happened? What if the Sox took it all? Maybe everyone from Boston could finally stop whining about this "curse". Of course then I'll probably throw out my back pushing the bandwagon. But back to being positive... This is our year! I can feel it! (and if for some reason we fall to the evil empire again...I will have plenty of beers to wash down these words that I'll eat.

I hope the Cubs mop up the floor with them. That'd rule. If Chicago does make it to the World Series and they don't win then even more people will hate the Yankees.
