I am not your typical Sox fan.
I don't chant Yankee's suck because they do not in fact, suck.
I fear Mariano Rivera...for good reason. I cried when rocket had his last regular season game at fenway because he is a great pitcher and NOT a traitor (Dan D. was)
I have been to 107 games and have seen the Sox play at 6 other ballparks besides Fenway. They are in my blood. Everyone knows the deal - Curse of the Bambino, 1918 (yup, that's 85 years) Billy Buckner blah blah blah blah blah. But I believed. This was supposed to be our year. It was supposed to be Sox Cubbies for a series of destiny. Then things went to shit. Cubbies lost. We went to game 7. We had a good showing at the beginning. All of my shithead friends were yelling about how we were off to the series...and then they showed that groundskeeper painting fenway with this years world series logo (and by the way whoever has to remove that paint should probably have to do so with no belts earrings sharp objects or shoelaces, and also be on suicide watch for the next day or two) and I felt the magic too. But I hushed the premature celebration and still was looking for those security runs. I felt like all my years of being a devoted fan were finally to pay off in the best 7 game series I had ever seen. Well, this was not the case. And to add insult to injury...why did it have to be Aaron Boone? That guy is a freakin mongoloid. I could go on but what's the point? I still love my guys, they played their hearts out. I will keep up my pictures and my Red Sox nation sign and I will still keep my box for next year but man oh man what a way to kill a friday buzz.........and my mentality, because ya know what?
The Yankee's really do SUCK!!!

I picked up that book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and I'm reading it now.
So far, so good. Thanks for the recommendation.

I felt your pain as well. I didn't celebrate because I knew it was coming. Then it came and the
Sox went home. WHY GOD WHY?

this was supposed to be the cubs/sox year, their chance.
the reason the sox got to the place they did this year is because all new england believes, they always have.
chin up, they'll be even better next april.

Pedro did not deserve that eigth inning. I stuck up for Grady Little all year... but what happened last night should cost him his career. Pedro gives us seven great innings, and we had Timlin to pitch the eigth and Williamson to pitch the ninth... two guys that had been unhittable in the postseason. I credit Pedro for wanting to stay in the game (we still talk about Clemens asking to be removed after the 7th against the Mets in 1986), but that's why we have managers. As someone that watches almost every Sox game, this huts bad. But I give credit to the Yankees... they don't suck, and they never have. But Aaron Fucking Boone? Why?

wow, that's a lot of games. I liked baseball a lot until I was about 13 or 14 years old. I went to one professional game, it was very fun.
