I had a pumpkin carving party last night. I provided the alcohol, the pumpkins, the utensils, and the food. All together, the night cost me at little more than $120, which, when it comes to good friends, is not anything.
My friends are worthless. I have four friends (girls). There is Christen, Nicole, Susan, and Emily. The first three are a year ahead of me in college (seniors) and Emily is a juinor like me. All of them are lonely--Christen, even with a boyfriend of two years, wishes she could date other people. Nicole, who just broke up with a boyfriend of about eight months, is a dweeb and is unattached to everyone she hits it off with. Susan, well, she defines herself by the man that she is with. Sadly, I have never known Susan without knowing Susan's boyfriend.
Nicole and Susan came first. They stepped in the apartment, refused to drink and carve. Not because of the order, mind you, but because both are "boring." This from the same girls who party every Thursday at a bar and stumble home. Christen shows up twenty minutes later with the boyfriend, who I was not aware was coming. Now, I got no issues with the boyfriend, but it was kind of supposed to be a girls night...
But back to the point, I've spent all this money. Nicole left thirty minutes after she showed. Susan's boyfriend came shortly thereafter, and she left with him about ten minutes after Nicole. So, where does that leave me?
Alone. With Christen and the boyfriend she wishes she could break up with. Why did I spend all this money on people who are this worthless as friends?

has anyone read the rest of my posts? i have decided to treat uber like a blog, simply to tell my friends what's up...occasionally leave a well-spelled and depressing college story to go with it. sorry this didn't tickle everyone's fancy. the responses are hilarious though. my pumpkins turned out good, but i caught a middle schooler trying to smash mine, so i called his parents. it was awesome. i felt, like 45 :) i don't care what you all think i look like, or write like...in the long run, does it really matter? but anyway--thanx loki *muah* you are the best!

I hate pumpkin carving. It makes the kitchen smell bad and your knives go dull and it gets all over the place. The only thing pumpkins are good for are being shot at with powerful firearms as target practice.

Anybody ever see those movies about Amazon Women tribes?
