I live in Michigan, and like most people who live here, I understand the rules of the road.
If I'm on the highway/expressway/interstate (whatever you call it), I use the left lane for going fast/passing, and the right lane is there for me to scoot over into when people want to pass me.
For the most part, everyone in Michigan knows this, and does this.
Although people from Ohio seem to have no clue. They'll be puttering along in the fast-lane, going about three miles under the posted speed. I'll pull up behind them, expecting them to get over so I can keep moving along, and they don't.
They just stay in the left lane, driving the same speed as the guy in the slow-lane.
Isn't this the same everywhere? Don't all states recognize the difference between the two lanes?

in ohio, michigan and pennsylvania drivers suck. west virginians blow even worse. maybe it's just cause they're out of their natural habitat

I won't make comments about Ohio... my best friend lives and Ohio and she's already threatened to castrate me for referring to it as the world's biggest truck stop (my logic being that there's no other purpose to ohio but for trucks to pass through on their way to more exotic locales such as south dakota)
However... I've seen this same behavior in Misery (or Missouri, depending on how you feel about the state). The average driver seems to toodle along blissfully ignorant to the utter frustration of drivers around them that want to go at least the actual posted speed limit. I guess people in the midwest are just slow... and not just at driving.

Ohio has beaches but they're usually chock full of bacteria or seaweed that's packed full of bacteria. I hate Ohio, but I hate Michigan more. But both are better than Indiana.

I think there are different customs in different areas. Here is the Floridians who piss us off. What I really enjoy are the people who moved down here from up north and then bitch about NC drivers. Thing is they all live north of town so what they're bitching about are other transplants like them. good times

You get that in the uk too. Since they are going less that the speed limit just get in the other lane and 'undertake' them. And give them the finger while doing it.
