The sound of a fart. Arguably the funniest comedy noise ever. So imagine my surprise when I discovered the sound of a fish farting. Yes....a fish....farting. A herring to be precise. A herring the morining after a large piss up and a chicken madras.

I'm going to get a pet herring. That way, whenever I have people over and I cut one, I can blame it on the herring. They'll be like "Fish don't fart" and I'll be like "Oh no?" then I'll show them the story and we'll all have a good laugh. By the time we're done, no one will even remember that I cut the cheese in the first place.
Wow, I've got way too much time on my hands.

I think it is hilarious that the "scientific" acronym for the phenomenon is FRT (from the article). Who says scientists are without a sense of humor?
