"How much do giftcards cost?"

Reasons why I am glad to be leaving this place. Just a couple more weeks then I'm outta here.

Going to move to Australia! Woo!

Which reminds me, are there any Ubererers around Sydney ?
Im going to be moving down there by myself in about a month and I would like to meet some people or amke some type of social network so Im not sitting by myself looking at this site the whole day :)

I worked in retail, you have to get out of there. I was in sporting goods. The absolute worst was this thing called the "sneaker trade-in". The idea was that if you brought in a pair of shoes for us to donate to charity, you could get $5, $7.50 or $10 off a new pair of shoes. You have to see where this was going. First of all, I think I scrubbed the skin off my hands from having to handle people's nasty yard shoes. Not even homeless people want some of the stuff that people brought in and you guessed it, all of the good shoes were $5 off, unless by good ones you mean size 21 basketball shoes that someone special ordered and never picked up.

I love customers.
So much that I refuse to piss them off by working in retail...ever again.

Sears....argh.

My favorite response to, "Do you work here?" is:

No, I stole this name tag from the gift shop.

whoops i forgot the reply and counter reply:

"how much do giftcards cost?"
(wait is she serious?)
"umm, anywhere from 5 to 500 dollars"
(amazed look on womans face)
"wow thats a really good deal"

thats why i posted that.
dumbass.
or maybe she was hitting on me.... crap i missed out

another good question "excuse me do you work here" (somebody else mentioned this once)
"no i just like to wear the nametag" (me when i grow balls)

Heh. Customers are really stupid.

However, there is a mall up here that charges an extra $1.50 for gift cards. It's like paying money for money. Maybe the shopper who asked that just bought a lot of gift cards at this mall, then went to your Sears.

Did you hear that, Marge? She called me a baboon! The stupidest,
ugliest, smelliest ape of them all!
