It's approximately 1:28 in the morning and I'm sitting in my undies sulking about the fact that I have just recieved my end of year results for high school and they are nowhere near what I was expecting.
Usually it takes a lot for me to get bummed out about something, but today has just
been an all-round shitty day of which I shall spare you the details. After many hours of attempting
to fix the problem I was having with Internet Explorer I succeeded and decided to try an access my results over the net only to find that my ENTER score (which determines the university couses I can get into) is well below the mark I thought was aiming for.
So after a huge lecture from my mother about how I should have worked harder and shit like that I decide to zone out for a while with tv, internet and beer. It was during this zoning out period I stumbled across fish-cam on Melbourne's public access channel.
My previously shitty mood had been instantly replaced with my usual calm, relaxed and happy state of mind all thanks to watching a bunch of fish just swimming around in a tank that has been placed in front of camera. There also happens to be rather shitty music playing over the top that sounds like a country & western cover of an Enya song but that is soon put to an end by me hitting the mute button on the remote and the insertion of a Sublime cd into my stereo. I turn back to the screen and watch as the fish weave in and out of the plants and chase each other under the rock tunnel thingy and for the first time all day, all is good.

Finally - another Melburnian on Ubersite. Thank Jebus for that.
I have used Fish Cam to get to sleep many a time, it's the best show on Channel 31.

There is probably some form of fish-cam on the net somewhere but this one was on public access television in Melbourne.
