My god. I HATE the OC. It is probably one of the most shallow, plotless, shows I have ever seen.
All the stuck up preppy girls at my school all watch the OC for really one reason. The "hott" guys. Oh yes, they are quite "hott" aren't they? I hate those damn "Oh we're rich snobby white kids, we have everything we want, let's bitch and whine about what kind of dinner shoe we should wear. And while we're at it, we can make a subpar hour long show about it too." This show is about as interesting as watching a slug move across the sidewalk.
I saw the pilot episode and it kept my interest for about 2 minutes. I knew this would just be another run-of-the-mill Dawson's Creek type show who's only audience is 16 year old teenage girls. TV just isn't as good as it used to be, and The OC is just another pretty boy show with no real plot or meaning.
I give this show two thumbs down, but FOX will probably continue to air this show for a while longer, much to my dislike. I would much rather have them bring Family Guy back on, which would be a wise decision for the network.

well said. this show is a pile of dribble. id prefer to spoon the mucus off my grandfathers bib and put it in the blender with the dogs poo and my grandmas dribble and drink it that watch the oc.

i think the O.C is the greatest, hot guys and a good script so if you dont like it tell someone who cares. cause some ppl do. ps. i am 12 and watch the O.C so i dont know where you got crap about 16 yr olds!

honestly the oc is way over rated like not the tv show but the actual place b/c i've lived there
my whole life and its just home and americas just giving it too much hype its not that big of a deal
its just a lame new craze that sends all the stupid ugly tourists but whatever i and everyone at
my high school loves the O.C its the greatest show ever come on thats why everyone has the beloved
oc parties but mischa barton isn't that cute she just looks kinda of plain they could have gotten
a hotter person to play her and shes from the east coast which is icky and whats the deal with ryan
being like looking like he is 30 and really ugly again they should have chose someone a little hotter
oh well i love the show regardless

u know what i hate even more, dude? it's people who discuss the show, in my presence, at length, in detail, week after week. i mean, it's easy to not watch it - i don't even know when it's on, recognize it fast when flipping channels and flip away in horror and disgust, or not recognize it and just keep flipping 'cause it looks like nothing i wanna see. but the people - the people u can't always get away from. and then u gotta hear about who's gonna sleep with whom, and who crashed whose fancy car, and on and on. and there ain't no mute or channel button to save u, and u can't change the topic cause all u do with ur free time is watch some other stupid show so u ain't got much to say. so u just gotta take deep breaths, stare away into the distance and wait till the conversation gets better or u snap and tell everyone to shut the fuck up, whichever comes first.

I live in "The OC"...and the show is pretentious, boring...almost as bad as "skin".I think "The OC" gives where I live a bad name, but hey...think what you will. I wish I was as rich as the characters on the show as I eat my ramen and watch my old tv with its rabbit ears..sigh.
