After reading Patrick's post, I feel a little better about my life. I am not alone. I too spend endless hours at work, surfing sites such as this one. I kept thinking to myself, "There must be something MORE!" Now I know, this is the standard.
It's sad, isn't it? I remember hearing on Discovery or somewhere that Americans work harder than any other nation. We take shorter vacations, fewer breaks, and 1/4 the lunch time of our contemporaries. My question is, if we're working so hard, what the fuck are we doing?
Personally, I spend about one hour total at work doing actual work-related activites. The rest of the time I spend on various web sites. I always thought it was just my company (or maybe just me)... but now I'm starting to wonder.
This was random, but it's 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday, and I'm at work doing nothing. I just want to know why.

they do take a lot longer at lunch then we do, at least in Italy and France, and I think spain. I mean in Italy the shops basically all close from 12-3 in most places, and in france they get two hours.

1/4 the lunch time? Only one job I have ever worked gave less than one hour lunch, and that was 45 minutes. What European country takes a 4 hour lunch break?

i got pissed off a couple minutes ago cuz someone came in and had me print them a check.
i was pissed cuz i actually had to.. you know... DO SOMETHING.
