Guardian Angel Strikes Again (550 hits)

Last night as I lay snug in my bed, my guardian angel walks into my
bedroom and just stands there looking at me. I had awaken due to the
noise of her opening the door, which she tried to do ninja-like, and
her presence in the room somehow made my right eye open and focus.
I had forgot to take my contact lenses out, but I could tell it was her.
I didn't say anything at first. She usually speaks first in these meetings.
She was being uncharacteristically quiet. I broke first, "Is someone else
in the house?" I said this thinking that this is the reason she's in my room,
to alert me to a burglar or some meth-crazed freak looking to do me damage.
She answered after what seemed like hours, "No, just me...I'm early." She's
early? Early for what? The last time I had even seen her had been over 5 years
ago. That time she was almost too late, but that's another story. Just for visuals
sake, she..my guardian angel, appears as a russian(i think) girl somewhere in her
late teens. Her hair color changes from blonde to brown but the obvious giveaway
to her identity is her eyes. Her eyes are always blue. Fierce crystalline ice-blue.
Even when she's standing 10 feet away, her eyes appear like they're within inches
of your own.
Back to the reason behind her visit. Out of the blue she asks me, "What race are you?"
Race? What's this about? "I'm mexican, you know that. So hispanic..or um, latino I guess."
That, was my confused response.
"Not after the New Year. This next year you will be another race." What? I what? She
continues with, "Choose a nationality or race. You will be that race for the next year."
What's this about? I'm still confused. This isn't normal for a guardian angel to be
making these demands. I'm starting to wonder if it is indeed her or an imposter. Nope,
it's her. I don't question anymore and go along with it.
She then does something a bit strange. She looks behind her and then back at me and says,
"I am leaving now. Do it before the New Year." with that she walked out of the room,
closing the door softly. I get incredibly sleepy at this point and fall back to sleep.
I wake up at 9:19 a.m. I look around, she's nowhere. I know what you're thinking, but
it wasn't a dream. I could describe the difference but this post is getting too long as
it is so just trust me on this one. What I've decided to do is go with what she asked
me to do. Now there are a lot of nationalities out there to choose from. But I'm deciding
to go with being Irish for a year. I know this will make me white but I find that the
Irish are very similar to Mexicans in the fact that they get treated like the Mexicans of
Europe. I will have to switch from Tequila to Whiskey and from Negra Modelo to Guiness, but
that's not a big leap for me.
I'm still contemplating other races and also still wondering what exactly this is supposed
to teach me. Guardian Angel didn't give me much info and she seemed to be in a hurry which
I guess can happen around the holidays. Okay, I've reached my limit.
I pose this question to you Uberusers and abusers. If you too had to switch from your race
or nationality starting this new year, what would you switch to and what are the reasons?
Me, like I said, I'm leaning toward Irish mostly because I think of them as hard workers,
with strong ties to family and friends. They seem to be in a constant struggle with themselves
and those around them which reminds me alot of my present situation and that of my old
country, Mexico.
This post is not meant to draw a billion stupid remarks, so that's partly why I made it so long.
If you've read this far down, then please respond. What race or nationality would you switch
to if you had to make a choice?

What does it matter? "Race" is only as important as you allow it to be.

Not an actual race, but I'm choosing Swedish. Those fucking Swedes, man.. Porn, snowboarding, metal (the best metal in the world is from Scandinavia) and ridiculously beautiful women!

so... youre not making this shit up? um... if i had to pick another race, i dont know what i would go to... i am white (w/ some irish already in me) but i honestly dont know what i would switch to... maybe latino? i dont know
