Ann Coulter is a stupid bitch. Everything she says is hyperbole or hypocrisy (extreme irony intended); setting up numerous strawmen and then attacking them with vitriolic McCarthyist rhetoric. Guess what, bitch, you wouldn't be able to vote without all those "treacherous" liberals of the past who fought for basic civil rights.
Especially ridiculous among her opinions is that 'liberals are treasonous America-haters.' Apparently, to become a conservative these days, you have to get a precautionary injection of BLATANT HYPOCRISY. Dissenters are treasonous. Liberals hate America. War makes peace. This country wouldn't exist if our forefathers hadn't dissented from what they thought was unfair treatment. You know what other countries hate dissent? Communist China. Belarus. Turkmenistan. Iraq. What the hell are we heading for?
She violently defends the infamous asstard Joe McCarthy, calling him a "misunderstood American hero." This, the same paranoiac who destroyed many, many a life on absolutely moronic suspicions of Communism. A hero. A fear-mongering, reactionary ideologue, a greedy, probing, delusional hero.
Coulter clearly calls for the killing of those who disagree with her (I doubt she really means it, but that shit is very telling about the kind of person she is). All the truly intolerant, violent, irrational whack jobs seem to be on the conservative side of the fence: Abortion clinic bombers, the Klan, gay-bashers, and people like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly, who promote killing liberals and reversing civil rights.
Fuck you, Ann Coulter.

Right after I pushed 'submit,' I thought, "Wait, did that actually happen?' And then I thought of your post about Kerry. Must have been something subconscious.
I do admit that I overstated the point; perhaps instead of "all" I should have written "most." Most of the people I consider truly and abhorrently intolerant are, in fact, conservative. Racists, sexists, fundamentalists, the entire state of Oklahoma.

My attempted correlation of violence to conservatism was naive (it's been 7 months since I wrote this post, I assure you I've matured). However, I want to point out that whether or not the action (in this case violence) is advocated by the group (in this case conservatives), the two certainly coexist. I hear the same argument a lot concerning Christianity: "oh those aren't true Christians," etc. Yeah, but maybe without a bible that guy wouldn't have shot the abortion doctor, or crucified the gay guy on a fence, or whatever. These 'fringe' groups are more common than one thinks.

Perhaps you think the people who killed Sheppard did it because they were conservatives? DMD you painted with much too broad a brush. Violence cannot be linked to conservative anymore than it can to liberal. Violence is universal and there are not jobs who claim both political affilliations. In world history, those who align themselves on the left politically have caused more killing than those on the right, thanks to Stalin and Mao. That is true even if you include Hitler as a right winger because he was fascist. I am not saying that to prove that communism is violent, I am saying that to prove that linking violence to political belief whether conservative or liberal is a misapprehension of the nature of the violence and not just an oversimplification. When the tribalists in Rwanda killed each other, they did so because they hated hutus or they hated tutsis and it had nothing to do with the Christian religion the majority of both claimed to be following. In fact their actions revealed that they did not in truth follow the religion they claimed. That is also true for the violent who claim to be conservatives. Conservatism does not call for violence except in defense of ones country. If you are trying to argue about preemption or something I understand, but what you attempted to do is paint whackos as right wing and you are FLAT wrong on that.
The security in Boston will be nothing compared to the security in New York because those on the left have a history of violent protest. In fact most of the security in Boston will be because of that history (do you know which Democratic convention had violent protesters?) and not because conservatives are going to come and bomb them. Just admit it was an overstatement and we will move right along.

Notice how I said "conservative," not "republican." It can be argued that back in the Klan's flourishing era, its supporters were conservative. It can be argued that Byrd is conservative. It can be argued that Southern democrats are conservative. Anarchists, fundamentally, are the farthest right of all political factions, regardless of what they call themselves.
I've never heard of a hippie with dreads and a tye-dye shirt dragging a gay person from the back of his Toyota Prius.

why are people saying coulter is a christian? She uses more cocaine than paris hilton, ally mcbeal and the olsen twin combined. She is somewhat amusing though.
DMD I really disliked this post for one reason, you say all the violent nut jobs are conservative. First of all you talk about "all the abortion clinic bombers". How many abortion clinics have been bombed? Any idea? Then you talk about the Klan. The Klan? In its history the Klan has supported more Democrats than Republicans BY FAR. Ever heard of the Dixiecrats? Quick quiz, who is the only Klan recruiter in the Senate? No thurmond is dead and was never a recruiter, it is Robert Byrd, the Democrat from West Virginia.
Further eco terrorists, and anarchists both consider themselves leftist. I consider them neither. I do not think you can call conservatives terrorists, that is absurd. I have had fun with some of my radical communist friends discussing our mutual support for the second amendment (though for obviously different reasons, they feel that the people must be armed to protect themselves from tyranny, as do I, but they want us to have a government like Vietnam but with better infrastructure). Anyway there are very few wackos on the right, and trying to link them all to the word conservative is foolish and wrongheaded. If you want to link neo cons to warmongering, you can make a strong case. If you want to link libertarians to militias, again you can make a pretty strong case. To try to link Rudolph to conservatives? Trying to link hateful people to a group that purports to follow the Bible and the teachings of a man who said love your enemy and who disrupted the capital punishment of his day done for religious purposes? That is just a bridge too far.
