Ahh yes, time for the New Year to roll in and for the good 'ole "I'm going to loose weight!" resolution begin. Sure, you've never actually accomplished this before, maybe for two weeks or so, but then it happens. Just like any other drive to your grocery store... you're driving down the road, listening to your favorite CD, then you see it. Your prey. The shiny orange lights make your pupils dilate as you're drawn like a mosquito to a bug lamp.
'I deserve it!' you say to yourself, you've been eating nothing but carrot sticks and celery for the past two weeks, and now all you can think of is that greasy lump of processed meat to hit your tastebuds. Now your driving towards the drive through, thinking 'should I have the triple thick cheeseburger, the chilli cheese burger, or the... what? What the...'
There you see it. Big bold letters reading "LOW CARB THICKBURGER"
'Wow! Now I can eat something that actually tastes good with low carbs! Wait, what? What the....'
Then you see it. The picture below the catchy advertisement. It looks as if everything in a burger is present but... wait... there's something missing, but what is it... oh no... I cant believe my eyes... is it... can it be.... Yes. It's true. Loe and behold the 'low carb thickburger' from Hardees is low carb because....
THERE IS NO BUN.
Yes folks. If you haven't heard of it yet, it's here. Hardee's genius idea of a low carb burger is not to make the burger healthier, but to take the freakin bun away. Yes, a bunless burger.
How do you eat it you ask? They replaced the bun with lettuce, so you can still somehow manage to stuff it in your mouth. What I would like to know is, who in the hell approved this thing?
First of all, it looks to ridiculous you cant help but laugh at it. Second, people are deluding themselves into thinking this is weight-loss food. It is a very high-calorie and high-fat item without all the other pieces of the Atkins diet in place. You still have the grease and god knows what else from the meat, do people actually think that taking away the bun will really make all the difference in loosing weight? If youre really dedicated to a diet there is no way you'll be the miracle who lost 50 pounds from eating Hardee's low carb thickburgers.

Whoohoo! G-ma's in Osage Beach. If I can take a long enough weekend to see her, it'd be cool to swing on by there!
I suppose that should have read "the easy way out IN REGARDS TO diet and exercise."

I hadn't seen that. I don't watch much tv, and I don't eat fast food. I wondered how the hell they made fast food burgers 'low carb'.
People believe this shit because they WANT to think it's that easy to lose weight! If you make your own burger like this in a George Foreman grill or something it would be better, but you STILL have to exercise for your body to be able to do something positive (build muscle) with all the protein!
Strange how people prefer to take the easy way out with diet and exercise than to realize they're worth the effort of researching diets/nutrition.
