Long time reader, and now first time poster. I'm sure it will be one of many, as I have tons
of stories to tell.

This particular story happened about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Cleveland, Ohio.

Background.

My mom, who has been divorced from my dad for about 4 years now, has been in and out of relationships for a while since their split. So now she has found this new guy, super nice, and super rich. Not that that matters, since my mom really just wants a nice guy and doesn't really care about money. Anyways, my mom wants us to meet her new beau, to which me and my sister eagerly agree to. Rich, thats what we'll call the new beau, suggests we go to a Chinese place he knows of then go to Peabody's (punk/rock club in Cleveland) to see some bands, get drunk, and check out a couple of his friends that are playing. Sounds good to me.

That night.

So the night comes around, and we all go to said Chinese place. Dinner is very civil, and Rich seems to be a genuinely good guy. I brought along my girlfriend (who I'm sure you'll grow to know in future stories), and Rich brought his son, who strangely enough had attended college with my girlfriend. All six of us smash on some Chinese, drink a couple bottles of wine, then head to the Club.

First off, I've never been to Peabody's but I've heard alot about it. When I get there I'm not surprised to see that its little more than a shanty with a bar and a stage inside. We park right across the street, and run the gammit of homeless looking for change (or anything of value really) outside the club (I work downtown so this isn't new). I politely decline the offers for generosity, and we head inside. We go right in, and all of us 21 or over get bracelets, and my GF and my sis get stamps (chumps). Immediately I'm thinking : Bracelets in a shanty, now I know where the money goes. We walk in and start drinking immediately, buying brews and whatnot. We go and start listening to bands a couple of which weren't bad. Shout outs to HIGHBALL and JADED ERA for rocking the house that night. We split up and all us kids (read not Rich and mom) go to the stage and are just groovin. Everbody around is drinking, with bouncers keeping to their shadowy hiding places, and I'm sure there is tons of underage drinking going on. Seeing as this appears to be the norm, I go and get beers for both my sis and my GF, no biggie. As the night goes on, and the bands rotate, we get sloppier. This is where the title comes in. So its late, the second to last band is up, and I'm a little tipsy, my mom is absolutly wasted beyond all recognition. I've never seen her so drunk. I go over to talk to her and she says : "Go watch you sister!"
"Why?" I reply "Shes just chillin over there, she can handle herself."
(Not entirely true, some dude offered her a clearly drugged drink, which she refused with disdain. I knew it was drugged cause he let it sit there for the rest of the night after she told him to fuck off.)
"Just watch her!"
So at this point I know my mom is blasted. Later I go back to see how she is doing and she tells me to go watch sis again but this time she gives me $10 to do so! Big mistake! This is where everything goes downhill. I use that money to go buy more beer. I then proceed to drink said beer, then offer a sip to my sister. Second big mistake! A roving bouncer sees this and politely askes us to come with him.

I've never been thrown out of a club before, so I don't know about the etiquette. I just proceed to leave with my sis, but I have to get the word out to my mom and my GF. My GF has gone to the bathroom, and is no where to be found.

"Hey can I wait just a couple seconds before you throw us out?" I ask him. "I gotta tell my mom I'm being thrown out."

"Nope, you gotta keep moving" He says continously nudging me to the door.

Right as I'm being pushed out the front doors I see my GF and scream "Rachael! Were are being thrown out! Tell my mom!!" All this said with a huge smile on my face, I love the novelty of acutally being thrown out for some reason.

So next we know my sis and I are hanging out front of the bar, not even knowing if my message was even relayed. Its freezing out and my sis doesn't have her coat, so I hand her mine. While I'm doing this the same homeless guy approaches us and asks if we need tickets to get in.

"No we got throw out for underage drinking, but thanks for the offer" I reply.

We shoot the shit for a couple minutes, until my mom Rich, and Rachael (GF) come out.
We restate what happened, and my mom, sloppy, says one second and goes inside with Rich. Literally 2 minutes later they come back out and say "You can come back in, no problem!" Me and my sis stare at each other in stunner disbelief. Apparantly not only does Rich know the people on stage, but also the owners. We walk back in through security, triumphantly, a feeling of invincibility covering us. I walk back, and this time the bouncer can't say shit. I have no beef, the guy was just doing his job. Too bad he didn't know we were UNTOUCHABLE!

The night raps up, and we stay for the last band. We eventually leave, leaving my sis and mom in Rich's care, and my GF and I head home for some R&R and a SPLEEF. As we leave Rich's son asks us if we would like to go clubbing with them (now its 2 am). I decline, as I have to work the next day, my sis declines too, shes not the clubbing type, but I make fun of her anyways for not going out with the guy (she has a boyfriend......apparently).

So that's that. Never before have had so much fun being thrown out of a bar. And never have I felt so on top of my game as I was ushered back in like a rockstar.

".... Loren1 geez why the hostility? The story was pretty good, a few weaknesses, maybe nurture with helpful criticism instead of coming back to make it go down more. If you want to know why anyone would want to read it, maybe it is because this guy wrote about a fun event and I got to picture that his sister is hot, but he never said that, he just told a true story that made it obvious (mr. roofie and the son of the owner thought so)."

I have only one thing to say about that:

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. My god, this entire thread caught the boring bug.

What's wrong with you people? (Besides you, WillZone, your *yawn* hit the nail on the head)
Holidays got you feeling soft-hearted? Well, not me. BAH HUMBUG.

Now I am compelled to give this one more -2 for good measure and never look back again.

I liked your story as much as I like Cleveland, which strikes me as enough of an explanation for this -2.

I completely agree about the inferior joint thing. Its just that we need variety, so we try to rotate bongs, bowls, and joints to keep things fresh.

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=spliff

My spelling of the word was a mistake I suppose, but I've seen it as spleef and well as spliff. Dictionary.com says it originates from Jamaican english. Sorry I didn't have more time to find a more thorough origin audjgirl!

Not too bad, especially for a first post. You had a +1, but had to -1 you for underage drinking. You took the consequences of your actions well, though.

Nicely done.

yay quartermain, that is what I was talking about. Constructive criticism. I feel I have nutured enough now, so I will stop for the day. Given that he said he would draw "mad flak" I could also point out that there is a possibility he is not eminem junior but an uberuser who is not a wasp. If he is not speaking from his own cultural heritage when he gives a "shout out" I agree that it is sad.

**I can at least give myself alittle something something.**

No you can't. Ratings on your own posts don't count.

**run the gammit of homeless looking for change**

What you ran was a 'gauntlet.' 'Gamut' is not something you do, but a descriptor.

Unless you are actually a gangster rapper(and very few people are, thankfully)you should refrain from using the terms 'shout out', 'something something', 'bling bling', etc.

Its crap, but its crap with potential. If you manage to not get your panties in a bunch over the reviews you might do alright here.

I knew that saying first time poster would draw mad flack, but I figured I owed it to everyone to take it like a man and own up to the smacks that first time posters deserve.

Oh two more reasons you will need my extra plus two, people hate it when first time posters say first time poster, and your ratings for yourself no longer work (though they used to)

Okay two comments, one Audj that is sad you do not know about the name for a doob oh well and Loren1 geez why the hostility? Does anyone else see the humor in comparing this sentence:
"Never before have had so much fun being thrown out of a bar."
To the title of the post?

I'm sorry, but how can anyone think this is a good read?
