I'm sure many of you have heard of counter strike. It is the most played game through out the world. You think with all the money made off the game, they could actually improve the game when they release an update but no, it gets worse. Instead of using the perfectly fine interface that they used for years, they switched over to steam, through out this post you may see the word spawn show up. This is my name for steam.
Spawn was programed in hell by the worst coders in the universe. The servers that run spawn are from the 17th century, and the help support is non existent. You can only register one acount, if you register a second one your CD-Key is gone forever. This wasn't always true, that little rule just popped up. A fucking email would have been peachy so I wouldn't have made that second acount. Instead they didn't notify anyone, and I had to jump through hoops to get my 30$ CD-Key back.
So lets pretend you actually log on to spawn. You start counter strike, download the server list and BAM! *No servers match your filters list* Oh silly me I must have hit something in the filters menu, let me check. SHA BOOSH! Nothing is checked! NO FUCKING FILTERS! You go back and try again but no progress is ever made! NON WHAT SO EVER!
I deleted my masterservers.vdf and serverlist.vdf but still It wouldn't download a server list to replace those. I uninstalled and reinstalled, I downloaded a new installer, I sacrificed a virgin and gave a pint of blood to the dark lord. Nothing. No. Fucking. Results.

I'll send you a fucking advice. Rewrite the whole god damn program, and this time don't subcontract the job to some Indian motherfucker and give it to the people who wrote the first version.
In short, I hate you steam.

Nuts to CS.
Real men play TFC.
You'll get a GOOD update in April when Half life 2 comes out with its new models and engine. When mods start to come out for that, you will forget about all things related to the world outside the computer screen, and Evercrack won't hold a candle to the amount of wasted teenage hours this new wave will inflict.

steam is a program that valve has decided to use as the new interface for there games (cs,dod etc.) it has such things as better filters, buddy list, and a games button that allows you to select your game from one neat little menu. all in all, its alright, but still has some minor annoyances.... basically it does what it wants sometimes, and has the tendency to make it so ur fps are limited to 60..... it can also be a resource hog...but for the most part, if you have a decent computer, your fine.

Steam when it was first released WAS a flaming pile of (*#@&$.
True, you can still play 1.5, but thats while the won auth. servers are still up, which they arent goign to be forever.
listen carefully now, valve doesnt really make any money off of cs. CS cost like 5$ a pop. PEOPLE run the servers, not valve. THEY MAKE NO MONEY, so thank them for continuing to update there product!Your cd-key, They do send you an email when more then one account is registered to a cd-key. so, stop your bitching, learn how to use a computer and change ur name from Uberl337cal-o-supasta.

americas army was the biggest piece of shit game to ever be made, the learning curve is too high and games are filled with people who jsut downloaded it and it fucks everything up, plus unless you can get a good fps you shouldn't be playing.

It takes getting used to but I actually LOVE steam. Plus you don't Have TO USE IT. THE OLD SERVER SYSTEM IS STILL IN PLACE. Fucking caps-lock.
Out of all the things wrong with CS and you choose one of the better features. Tisk tisk.
