I hate UPS. I loathe them with every fiber of my being, and this isn't for stupid reasons either.
UPS sucks in the following ways:
1) They never get my packages to me ontime
2) They charge me for 27lbs worth of shipping for a ONE POUND package
3) Their delivery people are stuck up pricks with an overall shitty attitude
4) Their website doesn't work, and won't track orders
5) Their secret motto is "You get what you pay for," so if you pay three dollars less for shipping because Fed-Ex costs three dollars more, then you're going to get god awful service...and their isn't a fucking smile to go along with it!
6) They have the shittiest telephone service ever
-It takes ten minutes to get to a live operator
-The live operator doesn't speak english
7) They damage ALL of my FRAGILE drum equipment when they deliver. I mean, if a box is heavy, and their are things rattling in it, then you should know NOT to TOSS onto the front step and drive off. WTF!
8) They charge me for thing I DON'T buy!
That's all i have to say about UPS...im switching to FedEx-they rule!

i just got xd' by ups on a friday, being forced to wait for my time sensitive package untill monday. was given the option to pick up, but way in the evening during my work hours and if i fail to pick it up, it wouldn't be reshipped. Or I could have them reship it but no option to pick it up, WTF IS THAT!?! Its unfortunate that I couldn't go FedEx, last time I buy from Best Buy online I guess unless they rid of this option. Its really disapointing how unreliable and unflexable they are, FedEx, I miss the package, I could pick it up early and if I don't, its reshipped, no fuss. Plus being closed on the weekends, I guess I gotta tell little timmy that his present is stuck in a warehouse cause some jackkass couldn't ring a doorbell.

UPS has within the past 3 weeks, dropped a package coming to me destroying all that was in it and refusing to reimburse the shipper, left notes in my mailbox (in my house) telling me they couldn't find my house, been rude the one time they made it to my door and that was after mailing a postcard to me telling me they couldn't find me and me then calling and repeating the very directions written on the box, and right now I'm waiting on a package that should have shown up by now. I hereby promise, no matter what, I will not purchase from a vendor using UPS, I will remember to ask who they use, and I will offer to pay more if they will ship with another shipper. FedEx ground is now comparable or cheaper than UPS.

Ah ha! Some progress! I have just gotten the actual phone number of someone in my local office (Syracuse) who promises to help (Tina, 315 433 1695). UPS notoriously makes it hard to contact anyone locally. Tina sounded helpful, but I'm not very optimistic at this point. Time will tell.

Fuck that, I work for the UPS phone line and I speak english and I'm extremely polite. 99% of the customers who call in are idiots. I can use the website to track with no problems, customers are just to stupid to decipher it. I hope fedex screws you over even worse than UPS did.

Yes, UPS does suck.
About 5 years ago, the computer lab where I work ordered a 50k server. The Compaq warehouse was only about 1.5 to 2 hours away. Somehow, UPS managed drive one of the forks of a forklift through the box.

I agree with you. UPS is satan's delivery service. Once I ordered some cymbals and things, standard shipping, which is something like 5 business days, with UPS, and I got my shit a full 6 weeks later.
