I have been there and done that more than you can imagine. I know women like I know the back of my BMW. Men are somewhat confused on what girls like. Some think Confidence, chivalry, and kindness bring you women.
It however does not. No girl is gonna hook up with you if you just have all those things. Girls like hot guys that have confidence. They like to be treated like shit, and be controlled. When I give the girl the control they always think Im a pussy and back out. However, if I give too much control I look like Hitler. Most girls hate their bodies and are very self concious. You have to be the one who is confident, you are the man. However, if you are ugly and are confident and you think you are good looking you will just look like a complete dumbfuck.
I for one CAN NOT STAND to see a girl freind pay for anything. You must be willing to be the money bags and not whine. DO NOT LET HER ABUSE THIS ! If she ever asks or expects it CUT HER OFF! She is a gold digger and she wants you for the money not for you. However, no girl really wants you for you. So I have come into a paradox about this.
Enough of my incoherent rambling and now the MAIN POINTS:
Girls want this:
1)CONFIDENCE!!!
2)Good looking.
3)If not the best looking man, then knows how to dress well.
4)Has good goals.
5)THEY DO NOT LIKE YOU TO BE HONEST ON EVERYTHING ( if your girl freind asks you if her ass is fat do not agree with her even if it is the truth).
6)Has humor but is mature.
7)Willing to pay.
8)Compliments them DO NOT USE CLICHEs. Ask them what their interests are.
9)Can try to relate to girl troubles.
10)Listens to her, I mean really listen to her and show interest.
11)THE SECOND MOST IMPORTANT THING is MAKING the girl feel beautiful. I don't care how you do it as long as the message is clear.
If you do all of thes things I personally gaurantee you will get laid and have it easy with women. If not then the girl is fucked up.
If you as a guy are not willing to do all of these you will usually not have a steady relationship or get laid. If you are a girl and do not want at least 9 of these you are going to have troubles too.

I hate to admit it but girls do like to be treated a little shitty. I am a nice guy and eventually girls get sick of that and dump me. Girls totally dig a guy that's confident but not cocky. I'm confident but I'm too nice. Their is only one girl that doesn't think I'm too nice. I haven't met her yet...
You seem to know a little about what your talking about but you don't have girls figured out. If you are a guy (that is straight) you'll never have girls figured out.

Um...guess I'm fucked up, because the things I look for in a guy go a bit deeper than whether or not he asks me what my interests are. Guys think that pretending to be interested will get them laid instantly; most girls (god, I hope so, at least) are smarter than that - we know you want to screw (and, speaking for myself, so do we!), and you'll do whatever you think will placate us.
Cut the bullshit - just be yourself, and unless you're a total asshole, we'll like you.

I am agreeing with Trevor Johnson, a horror that does more damage to my psyche than JoeAverage could hope to do in his wildest wet dreams.
I would add two things:
