Please correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure you will), but there is nothing worse then getting shit for Christmas. With the obvious alternatives excluded, like having a hisdirectomy or being shot in the pee-hole, getting nothing good for Christmas is the worst. I know what most of you are thinking... and yes, I am a spoiled brat who doesn't appreciate all that I have. That being said, allow me to explain.
It isn't that I am mad at getting crap, it's that I put mucho effort into gift giving for one special person and the favor was far from returned. To be more specific; I've been with this girl for a year and a half, and have come to one simple conclusion: She sucks at giving. Not a bad flaw one might think; but imagine going totally out of your way so many times, that a little thoughtfulness in return is assumed...not just expected.
For example: I pride myself on originality, so this Christmas was naturally no different. I thought it would be clever to buy her a giant stuffed bear (which she loved), dress said bear with nice clothes (which she also loved), and attach a pricey watch to said bear's wrist (loved most of all). She was overwhelmed with excitement when she spotted her abundance of presents X-mas morning. The facts remain: I was original, I went overboard $ wise, and I put thought and time into the gift.
What did I get you ask?
A pair of sweat-pants I already own, a shirt that I will never wear, a movie I hated(watched once to give it a chance and will never watch again) and a book of questions about love. In one word....yuck! I guess all I am asking for here is a little effort. Not money or extravagence, just effort. Am I wrong for feeling this way or am I right on target in saying that: "There is nothing worse than getting shit for Christmas?"

P man, it should fulfill your spirits enough knowing that you are doing something special for her, and only getting a half way gift back. It's the season for giving, not getting, buddy.

Wow. You're awfully ungrateful. Christmas is about giving anyway. At least you admitted to being a spoiled brat so I'll only give you a -1 instead of the standard -2 that a post of this caliber deserves.
