Uberia: Chapter IX Battle Rage
Lord Bart picked himself up from his meditation, as the other paced, awaiting an answer. "Alright, here's the verdict" he said, "Loki is not answering my IRC, I can only hope nothing has happened to her." He turned towards the northern mountain ranges where the sunset was casting a hopeful glow, "I did contact some of our friends in the North however, and they will be here shortly".
"Who is it?" inquired Lisa
"Some of our Soldiers who were with Loki during her stay in dotcom, they are about a few hours north of here and are moving towards us now, they are led by General TaK".
"His squad?" Thank Uber, they are our elite soldiers" said
"Yes, it's almost good that they were away from Ubersite during the overwhelming attack" Lord Bart paused as he reflected on the madness that occurred during that attack, he would never be able to remove the horrifying sight of seeing the bulk of his people die from a hopeless battle. He was now a King without a land, but he didn't fancy remaining that way for long. "Let's get some rest, they will be here in a few hours and we are going to need all the energy we can muster for this raid". The Knights slowly settled in, but none of them could rest, knowing that in a few hours, on the eve of this day, they were going to provoke the largest kingdom in Cyber.
"Alright, Reallybored, Mac, and Ed Dee, take the left flank, I want DarthAwesome and Madjestervince to take the right flank, Lisacat and Hidden...Let's meet them in the middle." There were ten of them, post-killers led by a young lady. She was a slightly attractive young female, with a firm body and long legs. It seems her looks can be deceiving, especially leading a group of large predominately male grunts, she must have had a tough side to her as well.
As the two groups marched towards each other in an orderly fashion, Loki broke the silence by drawing her sword from it's casing, "For Uberia!" She took off running towards the mass of post-killers. The mystery lady did not back down, she too drew her sword and went from a slow stride to a full run. The two groups met with a thunderous clash of clanking armor, parrying swords, and shields bashing. Reallybored parried a blow that was aimed for his throat, spun around and ran his sword through the first kill of the hour. The post-killer dropped with a grunt. Mac hovered over a cowering post-killer as he slapped his hands together and crushed a post-killers head. Hidden was knocked off balance by a post-killer, but as he fell to the ground the post killer went after him, which was his last mistake. As the post-killer came towards him on the ground, Hidden pulled him closer, right at hair's length to his body so the post-killer had no range of motion, he then snaked his body behind the attacker, who was now on his stomach, and wrapped his legs around the pk's throat. After mere seconds, with a snap, the pk was dead.
"Loki I never understood why you have to be such a bitch.." screamed the mysterious woman as she mustered a yellowish-brown post and launched it in Loki's direction.
Loki easily dodged the post, "And who in the hell are you?" as she slashed her sword towards her stomach.
"I'm Newgirl, just got here, and I'm going to kill you"
Loki leaned in sword first towards her, "A little lesson for you newgirl, you don't belong here in Uberia with your post-kills" She missed her first swing but spun around and caught Newgirl with an elbow to the mouth. "And I'm going to see to it that I send you the hell away".
Newgirl wasn't defeated that easily, she pulled her upper torso up with her nearly perfect abs, and rolled into a fighting stance.
"You just can't accept that I'm better than you Loki, "She leap into the air and launched a flying kick into Loki's chest, sending her soaring back into the grass, "Who are you to tell me I don't belong here just because I am a post-killer."
Loki's whole body ached, this new prancer was the reason why she was still in pain from her old wounds, and her face turned a maddening red.
"I'm going to fucking feed your heart to you before you can even die" She charged towards the woman with a juggernaut's rage, she launched four deadly flaming posts, each one taking off a limb from Newgirl, leaving her nothing more than a torso and a head. She straddled the helpless figure, who was in shock, but still barely alive.
At this point, all of the other post-killers were disposed of, and Loki's comrades stood in awe as they witnessed something for the first time, Loki had completely lost it.
"What in the hell is that pretty face and that cute round ass doing for you now bitch?" She said as she pounded newgirls face over and over again. "How about you do a few more situps, because you look terrible now!" She said cynically as continued to pummel her into a bloody pulp. On and on she continued, until Reallybored stepped in and pulled her off, but not before she could get a quick kick from the back of the heel to the girl's forehead. The mass stood there, lifeless and unrecognizable.
Ed Dee stood there, as if waiting to say something, Reallybored continued to hold the still enraged Loki, finally, Mac chimed in "What it the hell did she do to ruffle your feathers Loki? Damn..." It seemed as if it would almost be funny, if Loki had left anything of the poor soul, and yet, it was still funny, because her comrades have always respected her for her strength, both in combat and in her posts, but have never seen her react quite like that.
As Loki's breathing slowed from a heave to a calm steady pace, she wiped the blood from her hands and said "I just knew from the moment I met her there was something I didn't like about her, but I still can't quite pin it down"
"Now, if nobody minds, I want LaNa to come over here and fix me, then we are going to camp here and rest before we shove off to see Maddox, is that ok with everybody here?" Everybody nodded, and without saying another word, they began to setup camp.
As Darkness fell, Koolmang made his final walkthrough as close to 1000 of his soldiers were lined up in the keep plaza. The light from the overhead torches reflected in the shining armor of the large mass gathered in order. After his inspection was satisfactory, he walked over to one of the most ornately dressed soldiers. "General MmmVag, are your men ready for battle?"
"Yes, Lord Koolmang, we are ready"
"Good, take your battalion into the sister city of Boredatwork, and wipe them all out"
MmmVag hesitated, "Milord, there aren't any soldiers there, why would we..." Koolmang put his finger up, "But there are Citizens of Uberia there, wipe them out, and don't ever question my authority again"
"Yes Milord" The General turned towards his officers and they immediately began shouting orders to move the large army out of the castle and towards Boredatwork. Koolmang walked away from the army and towards the throne room, to tell his Lord that within two days, boredatwork will be totally destroyed.
Christpunch watched the distant campfire glow as it flickered into the night. He stood on all fours waiting and watching his prey, the time was not right, but he knew where his nemesis was now, and he would strike soon when the kill was ripe. He dug his claws into the ground and let out a growling attempt at speech, "Baaaarrrrrrrt". He watched as he saw more torches coming from the north, the false king must be bringing in more help. More food for him, he thought to himself, when the time was right.
A short distance away, Kristy was nursing her wounded wing, singing silently the same song of revenge. She sat high in the treetops, thinking of how she could strike at Loki when her friends were not around; she sat in deep thought, plotting her next move. She owed a debt of vengeance to Reallybored, a debt she would repay after killing Loki.
"Wake up, all of you, they are here" Said Lord Bart, as he moved to greet them. "Kill your torches, they will see us", he whispered as incoming troops shuffled to their encampment. The groggy-eyed heroes rose to meet their accomplices.
"Lord Bart, we are here to serve you milord" Said General Tak, as they exchanged a hand grip. He stood with some of the finest and most seasoned soldiers that Ubersite had to offer. They were all of high rank and personal friends of the King himself. They were paladins, no less in rank than the knights and no more, yet they often dealt in the outgoing diplomatic missions, while the knights stayed to protect the King. All of Uberia's finest were standing before the king, in addition to his knights; he now had Bob, Hairsphincter, Ducky, Phinch, and William Q. Percy at his side. They all stood proud and ready to serve.
"An hour before Dawn, when everyone at Hotmail is asleep, we will strike" Said Lord Bart, "This gives us a few hours, get your posts ready, but I don't want a single Microsof killed, understood?"
They nodded in compliance, and they began to prepare their weapons, and call their posts.

I agree with TaK... I feel very honoured to be included int his story... as a Paladin, too! AND with posters like Phinch... seriously, wow.
But I have to ask where Manfre, JMG114, and Loren1 are? I was thinking that you might actually be Jared, but I don't think he's married...
Oh well. Nothing but positive comments from me as long as the story keeps going as is. I love it. The pace, above all else, is wonderful.

If I have my way, everyone who comments get's a part somewhere. Of course, I'm trying to avoid introducing too many at one time, so keep in mind the story has a ways to go and there will be many more characters to add.
As far as the story, from the General perspective, the middle and end are done, day to day, as I read other posts (I try not to be one-sided and enjoy the other writers' stories here too) I add meat to the bone so to speak. Loki's attack on Newgirl was just too good to pass up. I haven't been here that long but I got my baptism by fire here just like the most of us did, so I like to stick up for those that "Raised" us on this site so to speak.
Everybody's input is welcome and generally used, and if you aren't mentioned in the story or if your ideas aren't used, it's probably because of these two reasons:
1) You eventually will be, I hope all will be included who participate
2) I try to keep the stories reasonable, I could write and write and write, but I try to keep them in hungry man bite sized chucks.
You're comments keep me going, again without you all, this thing wouldn't have gotten past Chap 2.
Chauncey is a wonderful synonym for Post-Killer, how about asshat? I'll take input from the team...

This story is really great. Although I do agree that post killer was used way too often during the fight scene. Perhaps you could call a pk a Chauncey everyone in a while. Come on, whatta ya say?

Anyway, she was due a good scene, like I said, she's been getting beat up all along, you push poke and prod her and you get dealt with.
As for material, I'm definately not at a loss, there is so much I still want to tell. This story is consuming me, because it's so fun to write.
Somebody commented in a previous post, This is cool in a geeky kind of way, exactomundo, My wife would just roll her eyes in bewilderment when I told her I had another late night to bed because I was writing on Uber. Bart -you've done an awesome thing here, and I can't wait to see what happens in 2004+
I'm now trying to play the balance between character development, including as many people as possible, and telling a good story. I also want to keep the posts just inside the length of reason, I mean, c'mon, we've got other things to be doing right? RIGHT???

I somehow started at IV which made me go back to the beginning and read up until there and then rate....Then I discovered the rest!
Well, it's still classic, still good and should definitely be archived for all the newbies as a historical parable to learn and remember!
VERY well done, good written language and almost unbelievable how you've kept it going. Don't let it fizzle and die, if you run out of ideas rather concentrate on a good ending!
