Is it true we are starving musicians by downloading music from the web ? The only bands that bitch and file law suites are already rich, greedy fuckers. What the fuck I used to ( legally ) make tapes from albums. As many tapes as I could cook up so what's the problem now.
What the web fucked the greedy bastards over ?
They can fuck off with their " artistic integrity " and intellectual property " sounds more like Bill Gates bullshit.
I'm pissed off that these scare tactics have scared off over a million users off peer to peer sharing app's like Kazza.
If I like your tunes I'll prolly buy your cd, other than that the music industry can piss off with it's money grabbing, scare tactics.

There has been no study that proves illegal file sharing is cutting into the profits of record labels.
It's my belief that labels target companies like kazaa and napster because the only way they can keep up with the technology is to start their own pay per song services, and a service that does this for free would definetly cut into their profits.
Kazaa is also a decent way to reach millions upon millions of potential consumers for nothing. If you can find a way to get people to download your own music, you wouldn't need a record label at all now would you??

true, but there are a lot of struggling new bands out there that spend around $15000 of their own hard earned cash to record and produce an album that will sound good enough to get airplay, then they get a hit song and everyone downloads the song, appart from the radio royalties, theres no income from selling the expensive-to-produce-and master CD, so these talented musicians have just pissed 15 grand up the wall for 15 minutes of fame
support small-time music and Buy albums.
Download all the metallica and blink182 you can get you hands on i say. Fuck 'em
