Thats right boys and girls it is the eve of the greatest sporting event and day of male bonding in the history of the world! Its time to grab the beers, the chips and the chicken wings, head over to the domicile of whichever of your friends has the largest television and get stone drunk!
It doesnt matter who you rooted for before. It is time to choose who you are rooting for now! This is not even about football anymore it is about being a man, or a well built woman! It doesn't matter if you werte a jock or a nerd in highschool you better watch just the same.
I'm a Canadian, thats right I make my home in the great white north. I drink only Canadin beer and i have a pet beaver...well I want one.... but still I am here, to witness 300 pound men bet the crap outta eachother. I'm rooting for the Patriots, thats right, the symbol of the american spirit. It doesnt matter where I'm from, for one day let us put aside our cultural differences and embrace the power of the pigskin.
Let there be bone crushing tackles, long runs, quarterback sacks and maybe even a good spurt of blood!
The terminator movies were wrong, THIS IS JUDGEMENT DAY!

I've got the Patriots too. Its not just the game(although that is the best and largest part)its the tradition and the history involved.
That and the fact that football just pantses soccer and drags its naked pink butt around the muddy practice field in front of the cheerleaders.

gridiron sucks balls. and as for the super bowl being 'the greatest sporting event in the world' (i figure that you may be exaggerating for effect, but i have heard others say it in all seriousness), well thats just totally laughable.
gridiron is a staid, largely boring and overplayed and over officiated morass of posturing and under-skilled and over-specialised (though admittedly very large and very fast) showponies, who havent the first clue about how to execute a good tackle.
though i did pic caolina in the prizeless draft completely at random. (in fact i came *this* close to having picked both teams to play in the superbowl).
to summate: i rule. gridiron sucks.

This post sort of scared me. I read somewhere that U.S. troops in Iraq will watch Super Bowl on movie theater-sized screen in Saddam Hussein's palace, complete with chicken wings, hot dogs, and hamburgers, and NON-alcoholic beer.
