Announcing: the UberPost2004 Best Post EVAR!!!1!1! Competition!

Write a story, post a picture you've made, make something up, tell a joke, go nuts, go crazy, go to Montana, go to Rhode Island, go to The United Arab Emirates YYYYYEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHAHHHHAHHH!

If you're the winner, not only will you win bragging rights, the esteem and admiration of your peers, and the inflation of your ego to budget-deficit magnitude, but also a victory certificate * and a dinner for two to your favorite restaurant! **

This contest will hopefully accomplish several things:
It might give everybody some more interesting things to read than usual.
It may give the talented users who have run out of steam some inspiration and motivation.
It will give somebody some miniscule justification to continue believing they're the best contributor here.
It gets rid of my $10 in McDonald's gift certificates, and I don't even have to go to McDonald's.

The rules are simple:
1. You must be a registered user.
2. You must write an original post with one of the given titles. ***
3. You MUST add the following disclaimer to the bottom of your post.
4. You must submit before Sunday, February 8, at 11:59:59 pm.
5. If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of milk.
6. The winner will be decided based on the total rating of the post (calculated by adding all of the ratings together - 10 2s will be the same as 20 1s).
7. Only ratings from registered users count toward the total.
8. Only the first rating from each user will count toward the total.
9. Did you see Janet Jackson's funbag?!?
10. Ratings will be accepted until Monday, February 9, at 11:59:59 pm.
11. Hopefully there won't be a tie, because if there is, I don't have any idea what will happen. Maybe Jell-O wrestling.
12. Other than using a specified title, the post can contain any original material; fiction, non-fiction, photos, drawings, links, etc. Hell, it doesn't even have to have anything to do with the title.
13. I reserve the right to torture leprechauns to force them to tell me where their pot of gold is. ****
14. Each user can only enter once. The first post that has one of the following titles and the disclaimer will be the entry.

No sharp wizard, but when I was five I wrote some program called "Super Mario Brothers" for something called the "Nintendo Entertainment System". Man, when I look back on it now... only a five year old could have thought up all of those turtles and mushrooms.

Actually, I like the variety, but re-use titles as often as you wish. There are too many entries for uniqueness.

i've tried like ten times. nothing.

i'm giving up hope. i know i could just email bart, but that would require effort. hell, i don't eat for days because i consider microwaving a tv dinner too much effort. i just wait until someone orders a pizza. actually stopping at a gas station to put gas in my car is like running a marathon in my mind. when my gas gets low, i either con someone into going somewhere with me and ask them to fill it while i sit in the car, or i ask them to drive. and i haven't done laundry for months. laundry is too much work, so i just buy new clothes when they get dirty. fuck, typing all this is taking quite a bit of effort. fuck this.

I too have bought clothes instead of doing laundry. But I cant do that anymore cause my closets full of shirts and my dresser full of socks, underwear and t-shirts and my lil cabinet thing in my closet is full of pants. But I just take pants and throw them in piles so I still buy more pants.

Ever wear the same pair of pants for a week straight? Not that Ive ever done that or anything...

This sounds like a good idea. I wonder if I can be inspired to write someone about the Swiss kids. That would be a good one.

If someone -2s your post to offset competition, you could just go to their post and -2 it as well. Of course, that could lead to a big -2 war, which probably wouldn't benefit anybody.

I would say, use good sportsmanship. If you hate a post, give it a legitimate rating, but don't be a dick. Rate your competitors accordingly, and just enjoy the competition.

Ainkara - It doesn't have to be comedy. It just has to be capable of getting lots of good ratings from registered users. In fact, I'd honestly rather see a variety of different kinds of posts.
