I see that Razor has the latest round of Team Wars up for us all, and continuing in this theme of fundamentally geeky but nonetheless entertaining online Uber games, I propose the very new, very cool, very fatally fatal jeu du jour for Ubersite.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, pimps and hoes, introducing...
Ubersite Russian Roulette!
Here's how I see it should work:
In real Russian Roulette what happens is you put a single bullet into a gun with six barrels. Then the wheel is spun and the gun handed round to six players, each of whom puts it to their head and pulls the trigger. One of them gets the bullet through the skull and, tragically, dies. On Ubersite, of course, we have the next best (worst?) thing happen.
The loser at the end of the game leaves Ubersite. Goes away. Takes a hike. Gets lost. Possibly even, should Bart comply, gets banned from the site.
There's no guarantee that they won't return under another nickname, since the honour code at Ubersite is, to really stretch the definition of the word, lax. But fuck that, at least their important account will be done for. The one they've worked with and maybe even pulled up to the Most Viewed Authors list. Hee hee.
So I figure that people with over 5000 hits can play. (You can check up how many hits you have by clicking on 'My Uber' at the top-left of the screen and scrolling down all the way.) The reason over 5000 hits are needed is because they should be at least halfway 'established', in that they have to at least have made relatively good use of their usernames. Either pissed you off quite a lot or entertained you quite a lot, so that the 'stakes' are sort of 'high'.
There's an equal chance that the loser will be me, or you, or your least favorite user. It could be squattail or the paedophile guy, but it could also be your favorite user. It could be IDDQD or Lisa or Catscradle. All in all, it's a gamble, but then Russian Roulette isn't exactly Ludo for octogenarians.
I've halfway worked out a way to play the actual game, randomly or possibly through a series of comments on a post actively testing everyone's skills, resulting ultimately in someone's terrible Ubersite demise.
I can see that a lot of you will think that sucks if the person is someone cool, so if not this then a less fatal 'exile' can be put into effect, where the loser, me or you or Fingerbang or whoever, gets banned for a month or two. (This will be much better if Bart complies and actually bans the person from accessing the site.)
As you can see, the idea is still in the pipeline, and all the details aren't fully worked out. But I thought it could be interesting given that enough people sign up and actually play.
So in the interest of the democratic process, the right to free speech, the constitutional freedom of choice and the universal proclivity for Lisa's curvaceous derriere, I ask you to vote on this.
If you think it's a good idea, give me a 'YES'. A bad one, 'NO'. Feel free to provide thoughts and ideas with your vote.

Eh, not so much.
First of all, I have no use for these porn passwords.
I also don't want Uber to turn into some sort of lame reality show where we're voting people off or kciking people off or something. What I like about it is that there's a sense of community, and that you get to "know" people over time. You know what I mean? If you fuck with that and people "give up" their names, we lose the community aspect and it's just a list of posts by strangers.

Razor, sure, I'd risk mine. But then again, I'm no No. 2 user on the Most Viewed list.

Sorry about that, Otter. I meant 'chambers', the word 'barrels' was all that came to mind somehow. I just didn't think that was the focus of the post, but in genuine sincerity I hereby offer a heartfelt apology and retraction for the slipshod nature of the post that the use of that term seemed to evince.

Nah, don't kill accounts that actually have stuff worth reading. Sometimes I'll see something I like by a poster that's new and I'll go through their older stuff looking for gems. I might never know they did the older posts if their username doesn't stay active.
I wouldn't mind seeing a photo-shop off where everyone is given the same image to work with and people vote for the best one or something along those lines, but unfortunately this site isn't really structured to support these kinds of things since you can't reply with images in the thread.
All of the uber challenges of late have been difficult to follow because you really can't isolate everything under a specific topic.
Bart : http://www.phpbb.com/
It's free, the code is clean and it's just straight SQL queries so you can drop it any where. We integrated it with our support system and it was quite painless.

"...you put a single bullet into a gun with six barrels. Then the wheel is spun and the gun handed round to six players..."
Hey, numbnuts, guns don't have six barrels unless they are of the "Gateling" style. What you mean is you put a bullet into a gun with six "chambers" (better known as a revolver). Then the "cylandar" is spun...
Next time come up with all the rules before you post something like this. this is like those stupid idiots who come up "Top twenty things I hate about computers" and then only come up with five and say they don't feel like doing the rest.

So I should risk my Ubersite name for porn passwords? That's your thinking?

Oh, the long-time-since PornoGuy sponsors the contest, should it take place, so that prizes (e.g. free pornsite passwords) will be provided by him.
