i recently watched the return of the king for the fifth time, and at the end i still had enough brain cells functioning to notice something alarming.
At the end Sam marries that woman and they have kids, when it shows him going home, she is carrying a baby boy, the boy has jet black hair while Sam and his wife both have ginger hair, who is the only other hobbit that we know to have black hair?

Actually, both Samwise and his wife could possess recessive alleles (genetic material) for the black hair trait in their DNA. If each happened to contribute that particular allele to their offspring, that would account for how the baby is black haired while the parents have light colored hair.
