I am aware that I have written more than one bad post, and after reading Fingerbang's post about IP blocking, I was wondering if I got blocked. I normally post from work at the base because Ubersite doesn't work at home.
I have a cable modem, and other websites function perfectly. So Bart, I'm asking--am I banned and I just don't know it? If I am, I'll go away.
If I'm not, would someone let me know what they think the problem is? Thanks.

I doubt you were blocked. You made a couple bad posts, but we all have. I would say that you are definitely not a burden to ubersite.

hendrixjrr- i don't expect you to be a nice guy. it really doesn't bother me either way. i just don't appreciate you coming around to trash my posts. your reasons are, at times, ridiculous.
is there something in particular you don't like about my writing?

not a clue what i'm doing tomorrow. elo has the whole day planned out.
today: i'm at work. after 4, i'm going to get my nails done. then it's to the mall so that i don't have to wear work jeans for our big nite out. i may or may not get those redlights highlights...i am seriously considering it though. i haven't decided yet. then it's home to make dinner for him and then bed time--because after work AND shopping, i am going to be exhuasted.
your valentine's day sounds like more fun than mine. honestly, i wish he'd run me a bath and tell me he'll cook us dinner.

getting my Jeep inspected - just pretend that it's still January and nobody gets hurt
house arrest from 1-5 waiting on the nice man to come fix the ice maker
doing some tax returns for consulting clients to keep them from calling me when I'm at my day job
I think we're going to a movie with some "couple friends" we've been blowing off since New Years.

any ideas how to change it short of a major power shortage?

In order of most likely to least likely to work:
1. Adelphia has a serious equipment failure, and everbody gets new IPs. (Fairly Likely)
2. Unplug your modem from the PC and Cable for a few days. (No gaurantees here.)
3. Type ipconfig /renew in a DOS (Command Prompt on 2000/XP/etc) box.
4. Just sit and wait for DHCP to give you a new IP. (I've had the same IP for several months now...)
5. Hope that it isn't an IP ban, and the problem will go away.
6. If it is a ban, ask Bart for help.

Maybe Bart blocked someone else that uses your ISP, and you ended up getting that IP address. If your cable service is anything like mine, I have Adelphia Powerstink, your IP will only change after major outages. So you're basically stuck if that's what occured.

From what I've read bart will only block you if you piss him off by having multiple accounts or by spamming.
If you do neither I guess you'll be ok.
