OK-
Here I am again. Ready to get back up on my horse. My first post to Uber went over like a fart in a diving helmet. It sucked. That's true. I called George Bush a liberal, ranted and got my ass kicked. Hey I don't blame anyone. Beating up mimes and Dennis Miller is high on the list of forgivable sins. Flaming annoying newbies is a rite of passage.
Rather than get all violently psycho, since my little pittance of self-worth was damaged by the candor of "YOU SUCK Neerack!!!!" (Thank God it's not my Christian name.) I'm ready to go back on stage, like any cheesy comedian, trying to get a break, with no material, no class and no real chance of doing anything greater than surviving for at least two months.
The spotlight falls on a man in a cheap polyester suit on a darkened stage. The crowd is in hushed anticipation of the opening lines.....
Why did the monkey fall from the tree?

(no laughter from audience)
Any newbie goes through this I'm sure.
It's easy to share one's innermost thoughts with anonymous strangers. It's a little harder to think of the consequences of reading the rebuttals. But that's actually the fun part.
This time, I'm ready to get knocked on my ass.

Mr. Boris, you are quite ignornant, aren't you? If you'd read my replies to your post, you'd stop accusing me of having other usernames. For clarity sakes, it's not against the fucking law to have another username. For the record, this name right here: Sideburns...is my ONLY username. That's all you will see me under, and I will not claim to be anyone else. Now let me clarify to you that the name Ubernewbie is that of my old roommate last year. He messed around with Uber on my computer and went as far as to post my picture.
I found interest in uber and decided to test it out by posting under his name(all of the good posts are mine). That's all there is to it. Now, if you don't like it then I'm sorry. If you don't believe me, I don't care. You're a newbie and I've been here a while so I don't have to explain myself to you..
I would like to get along with you, Mr. Boris. No other user has ever had a problem with me. If you choose to have a problem with me, then well, you've got a problem, don't you?

I do welcome you to Ubersite, as I expressed below. But I noticed that you took out your frustrations on another user on my post. Not only did you do that, but you continually -2'd my post while flaming someone else. I will admit that Acuraman shouldn't have +2'd me that many times, but you shouldn't -2 an old post just because the Panthers lost. Nor should you have flamed my post to get back at another user, that's also abusing the system.
On a side note, you have potential, keep writing.
P.S. If you have a problem with another user, stay away from my posts when arguing about it :)

Nope. When I was a newbie, I didn't get flamed. Why, you ask? Maybe I actually posted something worth reading. The fine folks here at Uber do not care who you are, what user number you are, etc. True, a well known name gets you more hits. But good material gets you a well known name. As for my posts, I haven't had one overall negative rating. Not one. I write to please the audience as well as myself. You, my friend, are only writing to please yourself.

If you stick around here long enough, you'll figure out who to respect and who to ignore. What you will see are odd anomalous ranking from some people that don't seem to get it when a post gets positive ranking from every single person except them, that they may be the problem - good times.

Hey, plus 2 for whatever. The newbies have to support each other, otherwise their stuff never really gets reviewed. It sucks when you spend a lot of time on something and it gets ignored. So, next time, spend a lot of time on your post and make it good. And, to that reply that you will see that someone gives the only negative response and therefore they are the moron - you will also see that the same people always review each other's stuff, and they always give each other a +2, even if the post sucks. Just the way it is I guess. Keep posting...

THANK YOU for the constructive feedback. I am too Seinfeldish... and I didn't even see it. I will READ more, then write something worth reading. Uber is a cool place in cyberspace, definately worth sticking around for.

Getting flamed isn't necessarily a "rite of passage". I'd say you got ragged on because of your presentation and also choosing a topic that is getting boring and worn out quickly. Take a minute to look and see how many posts there are talking about the "evils" of ol George. They are a dime a dozen right now.
Not all newbies get flamed. Keep writing like you did on your first post (and possibly this one) and you'll always get the same responses.
I don't know if you've taken the time to read a lot of the stuff on here, but you might want to. Good stuff to read.
