I had originally cast my vote in support for K.M.'s argument that Bart was wrong to ban Fingerbang...however...
Even the most capitalistic and democratically free market societies rely on some level of governmental regulation to ensure fair trade. I guess Bart could be considered the "government" of this site and he sees it as his duty to ensure fairness and equality. If Fingerbang was simply posting opinions that Bart didn't like, then NO, Bart did not have a right to ban him. However, if Fingerbang is using multiple accounts to spam others, increase his own rating, and simply waste space on the front page, then that could indeed be construed as a plausible disruption of the continuity of ubersite.
In light of the fact that Fingerbang is indeed guilty of the previously stated, I reluctantly support Bart's decision to ban him.

First of all, this should have been a reply so you automatically get a -2 from me for trying to hijack a discussion.
Then to answer the issue that GreaterThanBest thinks he's raising, it was not that he was spamming a bunch of posts on the front page, it was that he kept logging in as different users and responding to his own posts with +2's to run up his rankings. He is now claiming that all of his coworkers and roommates were the ones logging in and replying but oddly enough, none of them seem to have posted anything. Get it, his imaginary friends are big fans of his.

Fingerbang has not spammed the front page with multiple accounts. If you were able to see all the posts made from the IP addresses that were blocked you would notice that at the most in one day only 4 post were made, and that comes from the entire time that fingerbang has been a user, and of those 4 posts only 1 was of fingerbangs. So if you agree that fingerbang should get banned because of front page spamming, then you agree to nothing 'fore no such act occured. And if anyone agrees that fingerbang should be banned because less than quality posts or posts that are worthless. Then the poster of this post should also be banned because like everyone else he could have just posted it as a review to the current post that the discussion is involed in.

bart didn't have any justification banning me. I will say it again. I have only 1 account. When I post something I have my coworkers and roomates read it and they rate it.
