Right now I'm watching the Oscars, and earlier I was shocked by something.
Tim Robbins won for best actor in a supporting role. And while he was walking up to the stage the over voice said this was his second nomination and first Oscar. It also said that the other time he was nominated was for Best Director for Dead Man Walking. I didn't really listen to his acceptance speech, because the whole time I was stunned. I asked myself "Didn't Tim Robbins play Andy Dufresne is The Shawshank Redemption?" "Yes, of course he did," I answered myself. "Your saying he played Andy Dufresne in The Shawshank Redemption, one of the best movies ever made, and didn't even get nominated for best leading actor?" I asked myself. My other half didn't answer because I guess he was stunned too.
Now, unless I was stoned everyone of the 40 times I watched that movie (and 40 is a conservative number) Tim Robbins played an excellent role as Andy Dufresne. An excellent role, but not good enough for a nomination for best leading actor I guess. And the pissed me off, he at least deserved a nomination(if he got it he would of won.) If you've seen the movie you know what I'm talking about.
Anyway I'm pissed at the Oscars for something 10 years old. The only reason I am still watching it is too see if all my guesses on the Ubersite Ocsar Contest are right. And to see If LOTR will become the second sequel to win a best picture award. The first being of course Godfather Part II.

It's ok to be mad at the Oscars for something 10 years ago.
I haven't been on speaking terms with the Geneva Convention for quite some time, and that's way older.

The structure of that movie was not condusive to an award for leading actor. The narration was all done by Red (Morgan Freeman), but the movie was all about Andy (Tim Robbins).
