African-American activist Randall Robinson on Monday said Aristide had called him on a "smuggled cell phone" and told him that he did not leave office voluntarily. Robinson said Aristide told him he was "abducted" by U.S. soldiers in "full battle gear" early Sunday and was being held "incommunicado" in the Central African Republic.

Too bad. I'm still gonna tell you 'only assholes give themselves +2s', and all that jazz not because I feel I'm better than you in any way, but because it's these kinds of things that irk me. I don't care how long you've been on, or how low your number is. The fact is, so far I have yet to be impressed.

I'm very mellow right now, so I won't be a complete dick. Couple of things:
1) Try and include some more. I dunno, make something up, write an opinion, but do something other than write a simple fact and then offer a link. There is such a thing as a post that's too short.
2) +2ing yourself does two things:
a) Makes you look like a dick
b) Nothing
The only votes that don't count towards your average are: your own, nonusers', and Squattail's (seriously, check it out)
Aside from that, keep on posting.

fuckin america man, wow... not the people, the administration.. i was in san antonio for a week last week and the americans i partied and chilled with were some of the nicest people i've ever met. i would fight along side all of you, for a worthy cause.

I doubt the US kidnapped this guy. I can't think of a reason they would do that at least not before the Marines landed. All it did was plunge the rest of the country into mayhem and I can't think that made their jobs any easier. He was threatening to bombard us with refugees, odd choice of attack but it worked for him last time. Of course last time this happened we were trying to promote democracy and he was democratically elected. Now though we know that he's squandered all the aid he's been given and god only knows what all has been going on over there. I could be wrong, but I still don't think it was in the US best interests to kidnap him though.

I figure if you're going to be a jerk, have a corrupt government, and then label them terrorists, you deserve a good taking away. The rebels would have killed him, so he should just be happy, even if we did nab him. If this is the case, we should have left him to face his country.
