Another day, another bomb.
Once again, those saints with the long beards decided to kill 200 innocent people gathered at a festival in Iraq. Just how long are we supposed to keep pretending to respect this peaceful, peace loving, religion of peace? I don't speak Arabic, but I don't believe "Allah Akbar" means "Time to cash in on that life insurance policy."
I don't like any religion, but of all the religions I don't like, I don't like Islam the most. I'm begging to see why we had the Crusades. But, I guess if Muslims are going kill people, it might as well be other Muslims. I just hope when all of the religious zealots get through killing each other, they leave us peaceful atheist out of it. For the record, I don't want to die for Jesus, Mohamed, a cow, or whatever other silly fairy tale you may believe in.
I digress. My message for Muslims would be that they should take a look at recent history and see that there's no big sky daddy helping them in their war against the infidels. It's not a fluke. You're not in a slump. If there's a God, he sure doesn't appear to bless those countries with faithful believers nearly so much as he blesses those countries with stealth bombers and tomahawk cruise missiles.
So maybe it's time to give up on that whole "99 virgins in paradise" dream. Rather than strapping a bomb to your body, pick up a good book. Something that doesn't talk about Jews hiding behind rocks. One day maybe you can join the rest of the modern world with all those neat human rights and cable television and such, and the rest of us can get through the airport in a decent time.

+2 for bringing up some tough points, handled poorly, but brought up into my face just the same.
-4 for saying that those bombs are killing only muslims. I'm so tired of turning on CNN and hearing that some more US soldiers died in IRAQ. Entirely too many innocent victims, no matter what color or creed.
+2 for saying how they hate jews, i find that hatred amusing in a sadistic way i know, but muslim sects, or whatever those crazy bastards choose to call themselves should really re-evaluate. Maybe Allah wants you to die cuz you were a waste of sperm in the first place!

Well yeah, but if I may steal and subsequesntly bastardze a popular saying, "Hate the playas, not the game."
Most religions are peaceful and do not ask for holy wars and suicidal bombings and whatnot, what happens is you get religious dickheads (no better than our friend Biloba here) that take shit WAAAAAY too seriously and fuck up the whole thing for the rest of us.
Sometimes I think that I, arely ever attend church, am the only one who gets this shit right! Right, in the commandments, "Thous Shalt Not Kill." The problem isn't the message, it's that people choose to ignore it and bend it to say what they want it say.

I hear you spooner, however thats difficult for us athiests sometimes because a lot of us see religion as a main source of the negative aspects of humanity.

Assbandit. I'm not THE most religious person of all time, I just think anyone who calls religion a sham (I don't mean atheists in general, just the ones who feel the need to push their "There is no God!" beliefs on you) is a total dickhead. I know some atheists, they're good people. I leave their beliefs alone, they leave mine alone, and that's the way it should be.

Anyone who says "*insert religion here* is bullshit" or anything to that extent gets an automatic -2.
You can believe in whatever you want, and I can believe in anything I want, but don't go telling me my religion is bullshit. Why? Because that, my good sir, makes you a dickhead. I won't tell you atheism is bullshit if you don't tell me I'm believing in fairy tales.
Nothing is provable, nothing is fact. Believe in what makes you comfortable, and don't fuck around with what other people believe in.
