Yesterday I reported to my probation officer for the very first time. I was a little nervous when I went in there but it was no big deal. She seemed fairly laid back on my charge as it was. As we were going over my punishment, she said they were being way harsh on me. I have to go take a psyciatric evalution. She said they usually only do that with child and/or spousal abusers.
We also discussed my curfew of 10pm. She said that it was stupid and that they don't pay her to check up on people after 5pm, when she gets off work. Basically, she just told me not to get arrested after 10pm and she will never know.
Overall, she wasn't rude and hateful like so many probation officers are, so I've heard anyway. The worst part about the whole thing is that I had to take a drug test in front of a male officer. Now, I am very pee shy. I can not even pee when someone is at the urinal next to me. It took me about 20 minutes of trying before I finally peed enough to leave. I wasn't worried or anything because my piss was clean and I have not smoked for 2 months.
Which brings me to my next part of the saga. This is the part that has me the most worried. Last night, I went home and to celebrate my 2 months of sobriety, I got baked. I smoked myself retarded within minutes of walking through my front door. Most people would raise their fists in victory for good ol STREETPUNK but I just didn't enjoy it that much. I don't know what the deal was but I just wasn't having fun. I really just wanted to go to sleep.
Now pot used to be a way of life for me and in this short amount of time, I am already so far away that I don't care whether or not I come back. That's weird because I want to enjoy it in the way I used to. My theories are:
1. The only person around last night was my girlfriend who doesn't smoke and has never smoked. That might have made it less enjoyable.
2. I was so tired from being sick and not sleeping enough from the days prior to be enjoying any type of downer.
3. Many people I know simply stopped enjoying it after being forced to quit for so long. Maybe I am following suit.
4. I got way more stoned than expected and need to strive hard to build up some sort of tolerence, so I can still have fun and smoke when i get off probation
or
5. God hates me.
Anyway, I figure I will smoke again tonight and see what it's like. Then, I have a whole month to decide if I want to smoke it again.

1) Don't give control of your life over to anyone but yourself. Drugs, even the mild recreational ones, take that away from you, even if only temporarily and to little ill effect. Control your destiny, your life.

Piss test arent fair! I have a problem peeing around people, i try to relax but it just wont come out.Even when i haven use a drug in a year! WHY don't they change it to the oral drug test! its a lots easier less dirty less ebarrassing! Well i think you article is great! and i think some changes should be made to the probation department, because urine screens are not fair. It take me like 20 minutes and a gallon of water to piss in front of these jerk offs! Its not my fucjking fault i can't pee for these dickheads! =( =( =( god hates me =(

a month is not enough time to flush your system clean. Don't smoke, don't fuck up. In Texas the number one & number two reasons why folks on deferred adjudification get yanked to TDCJ are piss tests and dui/dwi/pi arrests while on probation. If you're pee shy now, think about how you'll feel having to pee/shit/shower/masturbate in a 50 man tank on a p-farm.
The funny thing is, pee tests penalize mary jane while if you were to smoke crack/sniff/run cocaine or meth, or even drop acid, the metabolytes would be out of your system almost right away. It's a bitch, but you'll have to learn to piss straight

Drink a LOT of water. Like a gallon a day for a week. Don't take Goldenseal, because they test for that too. The water will purge, if not dilute, your system. Don't get yourself caught, dumbass.

You may just not enjoy it any more, hardly a curse. Not everyone who stops doing drugs does it out of extreme circumstance, some people just tire of it. It's just too bad that now it would look like a run-in with the law is what precipitated it. The rehabilitation system will want you for their poster boy.

I have been on prbation for the last 3 years. I get off on April 1st.
I am looking very much forward to it.
I have been smoking daily for most of the time too, and I have drug tests every month. I have passed them somehow.
If you have not smoked for a while, just smoke a little, and you will get a decent buzz without getting sleepy.
