Recently in the news, a woman in Salt Lake City, Utah was having complications delivering her twins, and doctors warned her to have a Caesarean Section to save her twins lives. She refused, and one of the babies died. Now she's charged with murder.
What the hell?
I was watching CNN and some bullshit law professor was saying that it was a violation of the Constitutional rights of the unborn child to not be delivered via C-Section. What about the Constitutional rights of the mother? I don't know about you, but if I was giving birth (I'm male), I sure as hell wouldn't want to get stabbed in the pelvis so i can get that baby out. Actually I wouldn't want to give birth period, thank God I'm not a woman.
However, if its the Constitutional rights of an unborn baby to live, then, arguably, isn't it the Constitutional right of the egg cell in the mother's womb not to be fertilized? The estimated US population is 292,792,367. Let's generously say that of those 292,792,367, 1/1000th didn't want to be conceived. They wanted to be "flushed down the toilet" like their "brothers and sisters" every consecutive month before them. That means that about 585,584 people have infringed upon the Constitutional rights of their offspring.
That said, I'll include the woman's photograph because I think it's funny. He He!

holy shit whole women looks like a scar. It appears that this woman is megalomanically challenged and needs to have a huge black dildo stuck in her ass while she is in prison.

When I heard that she refused so she wouldn't have a C-section scar I envisioned a buxom, blond bitch not some flea-ridden whore that can't muster the dignity to close her mouth while her picture is taken.

I think it's murder if the child can live outside of the fetus.
Oh, and you know why she didn't want a C-section...
She was worried about the scar! Not medical compications, she just didn't want a scar.
She said it was "a procedure that would 'ruin her life.'"
"We are unable to find any reason other than the cosmetic motivations by the mother" for her decision, Morgan said.

Why does a State fine you for not wearing a seatbelt?

Does this mean that I can harvest some of my wife's eggs, impregnate them, have them frozen, and claim 500,000 dependants come tax season?
I can understand both sides of the pro-life/pro-choice debate, but c'mon people, shouldn;t a human fetus actually have to be born into this world before it's considered a citizen who is protected by the US constitution??

Despite this post seeming so horribly concieved (pun intended) I don't think she should be charged with murder. It is her decision on whether or not she wanted to have a C-section. Just because she elected not to (which was a dumb decision anyway - although there are risks involved) shouldn't infringe the rights of a child "to-be". IMO it goes right next to whether or not abortion is killing a human being, or just a cyclomatic ball of cells. I still think she's retarded.
