War? or Peace? All I know... I hate hippies. Why would you protest against the soldiers that signed up to protect you? Perhaps protest the government in the form of maybe VOTING? This is a country founded upon popular opinion and I believe in it, so why is there so much controversy? If you do not support Bush and the war in Iraq, vote for someone else...
Not that I don't sympathize, Bush is a very controversial issue right now and he may NOT have been voted in. But please support your government, I know you have the right to protest... But why would you protest your right to protest?
Maybe i'm wrong. Maybe you'll flame me. But thats just what I think
(I got this picture from engrish.com- it's a great site.)

How to phrase this... I just don't want to hear people informing me about how Bush is an asshole, or how government policy is all fucked up. I can find this out for myself. It's annoying when people protest. Yea you make a statement if you can organize a large group. But it makes MORE of a statement and has MORE effect if you get a large group to VOTE a certin way. ? Do you understand ? It's not that people shouldn't protest, they should just not protest to ME. Or to ANY troops for that matter.

You misconstrue what I am saying. I am annoyed at the people that complain TO the troops. Not that I don't dislike Bush, or even this war, essentially. Death Metal, do you even know what fallacy means?

This is stupid and laced with fallacy.

It's not like people who are protesting the war are saying "i hope the troops die." In my area, there are many troops who have served time in the war, but have returned home, and now protest it. Just because a policy exists doesn't mean that anyone has to support it.

You're right. I always hope people have the sense to support the troops regardless of how you feel about the policy that sent them to wherever they are, but I'm often proved wrong.
